    I seem to live in another country .. the Kingdom of Minterburn is 99%+ green at the moment .. little bits of white in the shade . Going into Aughnacloy all green .. head out the Dungannon rd and snow is everywhere .. 99%+ white . It has rained the last 2 nights and frost has been negligible . Can I believe -11'C tonight ?

    Cheers Pom .. I had just seen I am not under a weather warning !! Feels like the closest I've been to a Michael Fish moment in 30years . I reckon isobars are more closely packed across Ireland over the next 24 hrs than they have been in years . That alwayssuggested wind to me .. but obviously not today .. Phew !

    Eight years in my mobile home and have never felt threatened by the weather before . The new farmer to my SW has cut down every tree on the farm .. 5 shelter belts gone ! Be safe over the next 24 hrs .. and may I be too

    - 8.8'C at Kate's bridge Co. Down last night .. here -7'C .. just drained my well pump .. not a minute too soon .. slush forming inside and the intake pipe frozen solid . A max yesterday of !'C . Proper cold . Not good for my watercress

    Boxing day 1998 Northern Ireland had its electrical infrastructure badly damaged by tremendous winds . My parents had no mains power for 14 days .

    I'm guessing the bright glows in the foreground is lava on the move most likely from the main source . The lava is comparatively hot . An amazing eruption continues .. thanks everyone for keeping us so well informed
