Afternoon fellow Kilties! Rained this morning, now turned to sleet as was expected. Current temp 1.8c and miserable with it. Hey Ho, so it goes. Ach well, at least I can drool over those charts, but off course, they'll change a great deal nearer the time, eh? Back tae mair pishiness followed by mair dreichness. YeeHaa. Not.

Morning all! Current temp here 3.1c, dry, calm and cloudy. Snow has all but disappeared which makes it a lot easier to drive and get around in. According to XC I'm in for around 8 - 9cm of snow tomorrow. i doubt it. More likely to be the old favourite of sleet. Might get some rubbish cleared from the garden now that I can see what's what!

Morning all! Temp currently hovering around the 0.9c mark, calm, dry and cloudy. Lovely pink sky away to the north east. No further snow since Saturday and am not expecting any. that way I won't be disappointed! Ventured out to Portree yesterday. Road at the back of my house was like sheet glass. Main road better but there was still a bit of snow lying so it was a very slow drive for me. Idiots were overtaking in conditions like that! Had a wee peek at the charts earlier and saw this for Feb 10th. Yes, I know it's a while away, so what's the betting of it actually coming off? Anyone care to open a book?

Managed out for a wee stretch with my friend and doggie. Found a wee pair of boots that I haven't used for some years, they have a mini - crampon situated in the sole which can be tucked away when it isn't required! Very cosy too, so sorted for a walk! Walking poles come in handy too, just gives you that bit more stability. Current temp 1.6c but clear and sunny with it.

Morning all! Temp currently -1.2c, clear skies and stunning outside! However, planned a wee walk today but having checked the single track road at my house, it's pure white and slippy underneath the snow! Main road ..... no idea when it was last gritted, no sign of gritters out in Skye according to Trunk Road Gritter Tracker. So, another day in at MQ Towers! May take a walk around my estate later today, just to get some fresh air!

Snowing again! Proper flakes, not graupely sleet. Proper snow!

Morning all! And yes, the Weather Fairies visited last night and left some lovely SNAW in their wake! Started about 9.30 last night, not for long I'm guessing, but nonetheless, it was SNAW! Had a wee dusting earlier this morning and I don't think I'll get much more as the sky is clearing fast. Current temp is -1.2c. Looks braw and I'm happy that at least I've had a wee drop o' the White Stuff!

Yes, checked it out! There's more likelihood of it being sleet or graupel here but if it's white, it's alright!

Just had a wee graupel shower which has now turned to the tiniest of snowflakes! Wasn't expecting that!

Morning all from a very greyish looking Skye! Roads ... grey, sky .... palest blue and grey .... shoreline ....various shades of brown and grey .... hills ... greenish grey. So damned boring! At least it's calm and dry so I suppose that's a plus. Current temp 1.9c. Oh, for something to liven up the dreariest of weather!

My my! Isn't this a busy wee thread! The excitement is palpable! The photies are great! The charts are RUBBISH! For here anyway. Just had a sleety, graupely shower pass through and that's probably as much as I'm likely to get for the forseeable. It's not nice out there, so I'll make the most of your snaw piccies while I watch the rain drip doon the windaes!

Woke up this morning, drew back the curtains, it's all white oot there! Naw, naw, nae snaw, just a lovely heavy frost. temp -3.2c at 7.30, now up to -0.2c as cloud moving in. I'll take that, anything is better than rain! Keep the snaw piccies coming folks!

Just popped ootside for a wee breath o' fresh air. Clear, starry sky, no wind -0.2c. Braw!

XC weather tells me I'll have 19cm of snaw on Sunday morning at 6am. How I laughed!

Morning all! A hefty wee shower just passing over just now. Rain, off course! As for the arrival of any white stuff this week, we are mostly forecast to have sleet/rain in this neck of the woods, so I won't be disappointed! Thursday looking like a complete wash out up here, so I will therefore tackle all those wee indoor jobs that I've promised to do for weeks. Maybe. Or I might just spend the day with books, Or wine. Or both!

Morning all from a dreich and mild Skye..... again! I'm glad I had a spur of the moment urge to go out for a walk yesterday morning as the rain arrived half an hour after i returned home and was settling down with tea and shortbread. Doubt I'll be going anywhere today but tomorrow looks a bit more promising. As for this 'snow event' that may hit a few of you lucky people this week, please be kind and think of your less fortunate buddies on this site who, if they are lucky, will see one solitary snowflake, and have to make do with the usual pishy sleet in its place. Aye, she's grumbling again, never stops whingin' that yin! But please do post squillions of snow piccies so I can see what I'm missing! I can feel the excitement building! Currently 4.2c here, drizzle and wind. Happy days!

Morning all from the Dreichfest of Skye. Hit the heady heights of 8.2c yesterday with plenty of precipitation thrown in. Calm and cloudy just now, waiting for the next few drops of rain to arrive to add to the general mud heap that is the garden. Charts changing so much every time I look at them. Will now ignore them and have a peek later in the week. That way the disappointment won't be so bad!

Dreich pishiness here as expected. My day will surely come when I've got more than a dusting of snaw on the Cuillins.

Morning all! Current temp 3c, cloudy with light breeze. Glorious sunrise, but as usual I didn't have my camera to hand! Ah well, red sky in morning etc, etc. It's going to be a rubbish day weather wise here, so hope you all get buckets o' snaw! No need for me to look out my newly purchased snaw shovel yet!

Morning all! Temp hovering around the 3c mark, up from -0.6c overnight. Calm and dry and very, very green ootbye! So, since there is nothing of any interest up here, I'll continue to drool over the charts from about 19th/20th of this month and ensure that I have suitable supplies in. Y'know, essentials like coal and wood, peat and wine, flour and whisky, pasta and beer. Never let it be said that I dinnae take care o' masel!

Rain finally stopped. Temp started dropping away at lunchtime and is now down to 2.4c from 8.4c. Can really feel the difference now. Enjoy the snow, those of you who get it!

Morning all! 8c here this morning, accompanied by horizontal rain. Sheesh! 8c!!! Dreich muck in place of gin clear skies and white frost. I'll take the frost any day! Liking the look of the charts posted on here, so thought I'd fling a beauty into the mix. We can dream, can't we?

Horrible, horrible day. Grey and dreich. Forced myself out for a walk then the rain decided to appear so that shortened the walk considerably. Last weeks' weather is but a memory now. Hopefully late January may produce a bit more in the way of wintriness. Fingers crossed, but as usual I won't build my hopes up! Currently 6.4c with lightish winds.

Haw! Whaurs ma snaw? Big change overnight here. Temp after sunset dropped like a stone to -2.6c. Now it's 5.1c and raining! Snow is but a memory! Possibility of another nippy spell around about January 20th? I'll be watching those charts with great interest!
