  1. Another lovely day here, not quite as hot as yesterday but still nice and warm at 26C currently. Some cirrus about but mostly blue skies and light winds. Proper summer
  2. A decent first third of summer here, with above average temperatures and slightly higher than average sunshine amounts. Thankfully very different to last June. Looks like a more Atlantic dominated period to come but hopefully that'll be brief and the sunshine and warmth will return very soon.
  3. Morning all. Very warm night, had the fan running in the bedroom on full power lol. 18C now which feels nice. Some very interesting higher level clouds passing here, haven't seen this type for years. Anyone know what they are? Very pretty!
  4. I've always loved hot summers, still do even though getting to work in a uniform isn't nice. Can't bear max temps in the teens and too much cloud at this time of the year, massively depresses me. The other 9 months of the year are hideous enough. We are all different on here.
  5. 32C now. Nice in the shade as the breeze is pleasant.
  6. 30C here now, phew! No storms as yet, glad they missed here today.
  7. Warm and sultry day here, some mid level cloud but lots of sunshine, no sign of a storm yet. Currently 28C.
  8. Absolutely no pity required, loving this gorgeous weather, summer at its best. 24C here at 9:30am, delightful. I feel much more sorry for you lot up North with cold and cloud, yuck.
  9. Morning all, that was a sticky night and have risen to some pretty plumetastic skies this morning. Already 19C with a light, pleasant E'ly breeze.
  10. I love the skies with plumes, the clouds are just beautiful. I'd actually prefer not to get a storm here (or until much later) as my Mum is moving house. Sod's Law?
  11. 12C? That's awful! Get yourself down here, gorgeous weather.
  12. Thanks mate, we got a bit emotional about it as Mum was nervous about leaving and it's always been 'home' to me. Both know it's a good move though and love the new place All happened so fast. Lovely morning here, looks like a few warm and sunny days to come, with chances of a storm or two, exciting stuff.
  13. Beautiful warm and sunny start to the day here, sadly by mid morning the Atlantic muck rolled in. Didn't stop it being pleasantly warm (max of 24C) and the cloud thinned a bit later. Am too busy to enjoy the weather this week though, my Mum is moving home after 47 years, the place where I grew up in. So I'm frantically decorating the new place before the new carpets arrive tomorrow and the move happens on Thursday.
  14. It's been a relatively decent summer here so far, quite a lot of very warm days and sunshine, marred a bit by some spells of cloud and the now commonly howling wind, especially earlier in June. Feel sorry for those in the N/NW, especially Scotland. Don't know how you do it, I just couldn't live with more cloud and cool crap. It's bad enough here lol, so I've made the decision to move to Prague next year. I am looking forward to some proper seasonal weather year round.
  15. GFS actually does underestimate max temps by a few degrees quite regularly. I've not seen any charts that suggest high 20's for Lancashire though, maybe 22C at a push. Much warmer south of the Midlands, though even that doesn't look like lasting more than 2-3 days anyway. Get saving for that aircon It'll be much more pleasant for you.
  16. I must agree with you for once lol, today has been a gorgeous day here, clear skies, strong sunshine and light winds but never went above 24C. That would be nice for most of the summer, but I do like the heat and if there's a chance of some decent thundery activity with it, bring it on
  17. 27-28C might just about be reached in the SE, let alone Lancashire which is generally considerably cooler. Did you sort out a mobile aircon unit? Or are they all sold out?
  18. Back from Spain late last night and looks like I've missed all the cold and damp. Beautiful morning here with clear skies and strong sunshine, a light breeze and 20C currently.
  19. Are all the models showing heat then? The Weather Channel has these temperatures for your town, with cool nights galore.
  20. Nothing hot showing for your area imho, unlikely to get much above 20C and generally maxing out at 17-19C. That's about average, isn't it? Meanwhile, for my area, chances of mid-high 20's. Win-win.
  21. Ice Station Zebra, sounds horrible! Is that a real place lol?! It really doesn't need be roasting hot all the time in summer, average temps are nice enough when sunny and not windy. But the last few days, nasty. Welcome rain of course, but then it should bugger off smartly and let the sun out again, not suck the joy out of life by hanging around like a bad fart for days on end.
  22. That's great for you I did say we are all different. For me, 17C maxes and gloom at the end of June is pure vileness that just makes me cross.
