  1. And Egham I suspect any thundery activity will occur NE of London, if at all. Happy with a warm sunny day again.
  2. At last, sunshine! Lovely morning here, blue skies and light winds, currently 19C.
  3. Yet more dreary grey skies again this morning, some sun trying to break through. Quite mild and little wind. 16C currently.
  4. Some really poor forecasting this weekend for my area. Was shown to be very warm to hot, with chances of thunderstorms and sunny spells each day. In reality, Saturday was ruined by a near gale, it was generally cloudy and rained most of Sunday afternoon, missed the storms last night and today is a dreary crap fest of gloom and bits of drizzle. The small positive was the lovely rain overnight but what a load of rubbish otherwise, vile!
  5. The risk is there but a huge claggy mess is moving over from France. No sun here at all yet today with a bit of drizzle just now, and not particularly warm either. I'd be very surprised to see anything remotely interesting. Kent might get lucky again. If the clag cleared then it would probably be a different story.
  6. Very disappointing night here, it was the same old story of the last 15-20 years or so where massive storms swerve right when over the Channel. Had a few (4) decent flashes of lightning and one shotgun thunder, but the main event here was the very heavy rain that went on for a few hours. Could have been absolutely epic for much of the S, as happened numerous times in the 80's-90's.
  7. Massively disappointing night here, 4 flashes of lightning but that was it. Plus point was the heavy rain, enjoyed the sound of it and the garden and allotment will be sorted for a while!
  8. Rain very heavy here still. Only 2 flashes of lightning all night so far, very very disappointing. Different story on the Kent and E Sussex coast though, by the reports coming in. Lucky ones! Edit: major flash and shotgun thunder, scared the crap outta me lol
  9. Wind has suddenly gone a bit mad here, pouring down but still that one flash of lightning. Kent coast looks pretty wild though!
  10. Big flash of lightning here with thunder. Pouring rain for a good 45 minutes now.
  11. Well the Kent clipper outcome was correct, bar a few strikes further west along coastal areas. Though just had a big flash of lightning and thunder here.
  12. Really chucking it down here. Not one flash of lightning though.
  13. Not surprised at all that it's turned into yet another boring Kent clipper. Chucking it down here though which is relaxing to listen to from my bed and I won't have to water the allotment tomorrow.
  14. Looks like a Kent clipper to me. Off to bed. Enjoy, those who see anything!
  15. Great, that ties in with forecasts and charts generally. Humidity should go way up tonight then.
  16. A lot of high level muck here making sunshine very hazy. Feeling warm-ish and not overly humid (currently 22C humidity 52%). Doesn't feel that stormy to me, yet.
  17. Yes, that's my major concern for later as that messy, debris laden clag makes it to us, blocking out the sun. Often impacts the 'real' situation despite excellent potential shown by models.
