  1. danm it usually is, Exeter seems to have a rain shadow around it hence why our annual rainfall figures are quite a lot lower than surrounding areas, I can only presume Dartmoor to our west has something to do with it
  2. danm it has been raining all day but lightly here, windy though and very cool, according to Exeter airport it’s recorded 7mm so far
  3. danm MP-R This was our stats in Exeter for May and June last year, comfortably warm temperatures and lots of sun from mid May onwards, the first part of May was cool and fairly dull, the later half of the month really boosted the sunshine stats up. The heating is well and truly on tonight, it’s feeling chilly, looked at the latest gfs run and it’s unrelenting rain the next 2 weeks, we can only hope the models change their tune. This surely must been one of the wettest periods since records began the past 6 months or so surely?
  4. I remember Atlantic 252 it’s what happened last May when our nice weather started mid May and was unrelenting with warmth and sunshine for 6 weeks, loved it. I’m keeping everything crosssed for us all to have some glorious weather soon, we certainly deserve it. It’s always sad to me when one part of the uk is enjoying the nice weather whilst another part isn’t, I’d like us all to have a lovely spring and summer
  5. Some eye candy for those of us who are sun and warmth starved on the latest gfs, hopefully our luck is about to change in April, certainly deserve it.
  6. Some eye candy for those of us who are sun and warmth starved on the latest gfs, hopefully our luck is about to change in April, certainly deserve it.
  7. B87 I’m ok with rain but a little below average or in the form of overnight deluges to water the plants/wildlife etc. Hopefully every month is well above for sunshine. this is the young with our climate, at least in many parts of USA they know they’ll have a warm sunny summer, with our climate it’s really a roll of a dice sometimes
  8. NEVES SCREAMER you are perfectly within your right to say how you feel, many of us agree, it has been unprecedented the amount of duller and wetter months we’ve had the past year surely?
  9. LetItSnow! god I hope not! We only got one decent month last year during summer…hoping April changes our fortunes, we certainly deserve it…we can’t keep on getting relentless low pressure for time and memoriam, hopefully we get relentless high pressure soon
  10. In Absence of True Seasons I would like to know what has caused this pattern since last July overall and if there’s any signs of it p I s s I n g off soon? Argh honestly April has got to be a good month surely, I don’t think many of us can take another poor month. I’d like to know who’s been having sunnier weather in the world at our expense lol
  11. In Absence of True Seasons I usually try to see positives but I can’t, hoping this patterns shifts soon and we get some very sunny warm months, we are due after all these dull months we’ve had, never known anything like it.
  12. reef we are at 52 hours here in Exeter and our average is I think 118 which we won’t achieve for March, it’s sunny right now but I think we’d need several clear blue days to the end of March to get to average
  13. Can you image how we are all going to feel when the first spell of warm weeks long wall to wall sunshine comes along? These grey days have just been relentless, hang in their guys and gals….March will be yet another duller and wetter than average month but surely April will finally start to buck this rut we’ve been under for several months, surely
  14. raz.org.rain well it’s certainly a flip, it was showing Easter to be a washout yesterday on the models, fingers crossed because we really deserve some bloody good weather now to boost all of our moral’s after the weather we’ve endured for several months. I’m hoping my multivitamins I take daily has been enough to keep my vitamin d levels high enough, would get them tested at the gp if it was easy enough or didn’t get the spanish inquisition as to why I wanted my vitamin d levels tested
  15. At least it’s looking like Easter weekend and beyond May be sunny and temperatures getting milder
  16. *Stormforce~beka* I’m further west that you and it’s breaking through here, though it’s still mostly cloud in the sky, fingers crossed it breaks up. rhw sun just instantly lifts the mood, what a slog the last several months have been…hopefully a beautiful spell of weather will come in April
  17. The sun has appeared in Exeter, feels nice…what I would give for a full day of sun, that’s been few and far between since god knows when.
  18. It’s sunny in Exeter and 60f currently, though a little too much cloud in the vicinity for my liking though we have to take small mercies, more of this please
  19. It’s on and off sunny here in Exeter which is nice, yesterday we got to over 17c though I was asleep after a night shift. I have a good feeling for April, positive thoughts
  20. B87 well we seem to have easily achieved weeks and months on end of dull and wet, if there were any justice in this world we’d be due several months of mostly sunny skies, I know we are an island at the edge of the Atlantic but this pattern surely can’t go on for much longer. today was sunny though, we are already over our average rain For the month so another above average rainfall month is definite, by how much time will tell…sunshine amounts I’d hazard we’ll be at 50 hours after todays sunshine so unless we get several days of clear blue I think we’ll be lucky to reach average sunshine figures for March here which is I think is between 112-118 hours sunshine hours for month, can’t remember off the top of my head.
  21. We are all going to be overjoyed when we have our first period of sustained warm clear blue skies, fingers crossed, looking to April with trepidation so far this has been a poor start to spring just like last year, can only hope we don’t have to wait until mid May for warmth like last year, surely not
  22. Another grey wet day, honestly this is becoming like a sick joke now. We have had more than our fair share of all this cloud, enough already. I hope we get out of this pattern soon, we must be due a very long spell of cloudless sunny skies and at this point I won’t mind even if it’s chilly that’s how desperate I am
  23. raz.org.rain we have some palm trees here in the south west?
  24. Buzzard I sometimes wonder if it was because there were hardly any planes flying overhead, makes you wonder what those chemicals do In Absence of True Seasons I still had to go to work and watch all my neighbours in their gardens, it sucked…
  25. Sun Chaser too true, we can only hope the above average months for sun will fall in spring and summer, it’s all we can do at this point.
