  1. Well the lights have gone out on the radar in a big thick wedge from NW kent all the way across to Surrey apart from a small blob over SW london-

there will be nowt falling in the next half hour- some big echoes right over the South- but not making it much further north.

Even the PPN into South essex is edging out North.

Also thicknesses increasing again, the stall line may well be central essex etc.

    Game over here.

So a respite from the relenting sleet? Phew!

  2. Tonight will be all about 2 things

    A bit of elevation -

PPN intensity rates- you will need to be in the Green echoes on the radar to get that ZDL level right down to the ground ( unless Herts which is already there )

Nowt here other that rain & sleet & a few snow flakes- as we are at ground level --- I hate Sh*tehithe.

How do you think I feel being stuck in the snow free zone of Rochester? cray.gif

  3. As said times up for >West Sussex, & the SW of East sussex warming up now- this will filter up into Kent, the central belt ( for example places like Tonbridge- along that line out to Crawley - & turn it all back to rain & sleet.

Further North its hang on time, -- Sweet spot will as ever be Herts- up at the higher elevation.

Its never even got cold enough for snow here anyway. Heavy sleet pouring down.

  4. London & South East England

Rain is expected to gradually turn to sleet and snow as it spreads eastwards during Sunday. Settling snow will be mostly limited to the south Pennines at first, but is likely to become rather more widespread by evening. Even then, cover is likely to be variable, with some places seeing very little, others 2-4 cm and with the potential for 10 cm or more over parts of the south Pennines and 5 to 10 cm for Kent, and more locally over the Midlands and Essex.

Overnight into Monday morning, there is a risk of an area of snow moving westwards across parts of the south Midlands, east and southeast Wales and southern England, with a few cm in places, particularly over higher ground. This warning is updated to cater for this risk.

The public should be aware of the risk of disruption, particularly to travel.
