  1. Already looking forward to next winter. Hope this Spring and Summer are cool ones.
  2. December for the holiday season and when there happens to be seasonal winter weather you can't beat it. Jan and Feb next up just for the snow and cold they could impose. Next would be the Autumn months Sept, Oct and Nov. The warmer (usually) months would come last for me March (unless cold) April, May, June, July and August. My preference is cold and sunny, after that just cold or chilly.

    Nothing special

    Inquisitive Jackdaw there.
  4. Probably Longyearbyen in Svalbard for me. Highs in summer of 4-6 degrees. Average lows of -20 in winter. Snow cover from September to May and dark a lot of the year too.
  5. Bit of a rubbish winter....about 5 frosts for me with temps never dipping below about 5 degrees in the daytime, nigh time temps pretty bad too, lowest about 1.5 degrees. Hopefully we'll see some frosts and cold shots throughout Feb, March and maybe April...who knows. Just hope we don't have another warm summer...hate them.
  6. Yep....a lot better outlook than we had a week or two ago.

    pigeon

Could be a collared dove because of the brown tinge and the black ring around the neck.
  8. I'm hoping for cold temps, ice and lots of snow...like a lot of members on this forum are. Hopefully we'll get them soon Oh, and a bit of a break from the rain too.
  9. As could you for the warmth you desire Do you even remember the 90's lad? lol
  10. I don't really care to be honest whether there is no snow this winter/spring. I look for cool/cold weather, colder the better. If i doesn't happen this winter then i look to the next one....there will be great winters ahead.
  11. Freezing cold with ice, snow and lots of frosts please
  12. Winter. Because it's cool/cold. None of the awful stuffiness of summer and lovely dark cosy nights with a nice chill in the air.
  13. Best to really take a lot of the posts in the model thread with a little pinch of salt....a few of the posters know what they're on about and have no bias but some do and it's sometimes hard to choose who to believe....stick with the professionals then you can't really go wrong.
  14. Liked: Mid Jan to mid June was quite cold and fresh.....lovely. Hated: Summer....too warm and seemed to go on forever although had a great storm gust as the cold front moved in to end it lol.
  15. Yes, the word mild is largely subjective but the weather at the moment is not mild. Some people use the word mild to further their weather agenda.
  16. I think if there's no snow and cold for Christmas then the current wind and heavy rain would be my next choice. I'm sure there will be some colder phases early in the new year. Although it should feel quite chilly in the wind.
  17. Good forecast. Looks like a decent winter, cold to colder than average with possible snow chances. I'll take that. As long as it's cool/cold I'm happy. I'm sure we have some surprises in store.
