    Frosty ramps the cold weather as he does the warm weather and he posts all year round. He has real enthusiasm which show in his posts. Swings and roundabouts. I enjoy his posts when cold/cool weather is lurking and hate his posts when it's warm/hot. I still appreciate his thoughts.

    Yes, as I pointed out a couple of days ago and others have suggested for a while now, looks like there'll be a breakdown of the HP and we'll have some cooler unsettled weather. Unlikely that a settled spell would last until October!

    Not really bothered about snow tbh. I like frosts and cold which is why i'm enjoying the current spell of HP. But no....it wasn't mild...it was a bit nippy really. Different parts of the country have different temperatures and people have differing perspectives on what feels cold and what feels warm...so really saying that it was not cold where I live is a little flippant. Silly argument trying to defend your 'mildism'

    No. Read what I said....it was cold a lot of the time...didn't see many people walking about in t-shirts. Just because it came out above average temperature wise doesn't mean it wasn't cold. The windy weather and rain we had made it feel even colder. Are you saying it was mild? How many days did you sit out in the garden with a cup of tea? Mow the lawn? Trip to the beach perhaps?

    But it has been cold a lot of the time, just not snowy or frosty which is standard winter fare, in my part of the world anyway...it certainly hasn't been mild apart from this last week!

    There IS going to be a breakdown. There WILL be some colder/cooler weather. It is NOT going to be dry and fine until October. Anyone who believes it will is delusional just as I would be if I believed there will be no warm sunny dry weather this summer.

    Cold,cold,cold and more cold. If not then cool. It's my main preference whether rainy, stormy, sunny or dull. If that carries on into spring then great. If not then I look forward to next winter.
