This weather system has moved up from the South yesterday and today. Temperatures today are FALLING , down from 9.5C to 8.1C now ! 

Are we now getting cold winds originating from the South Pole ?

 B87 Totally agree 9c is a winter temperature.

Here in Kent yet another drab, cold, windy and wet day.  Its relentless.

last night it was so dark we had indoor lights on at 5pm !
Rained most of evening, overnight and still going this morning.

9c again, Heating is on and indoor lights on at 09:00.

This isnt normal !!

Last day of Spring 2023. Overcast and 13c

Just “boosting” the heating for 10 minutes to take the chill off  

Its been thoroughly depressing in firstly nearly 4 weeks of rain, then 2&1/2 weeks of relentless icy cold winds,dry with occassional sunshine.

I am  65 years old and cannot recall another spring like this.

I need warmth !

Same here, 14c, breezy with grey sky and Sun trying to appear.

14c here with dark grey cloud and moderate North Easterly breeze that “ goes through you not around you “  feels really chilly.

We had Solar panels installed here on 5th Jan and I am keeping note of cloudless days to see what our maximum harvest will be during each month.

This year to date we have had 2 cloudless days only.

And for the record we have had no more than 30 minutes of sunshine since Thursday.

Interesting longer term Met Office update this afternoon mentioning a low possibility of  wintry disruption in weeks 2-3 of March. 

Teleconnections update  also shows the AO heading markedly negative as we move through March.
