Thought that it would be short burst yesterday when i looking at various charts, not surprised, best to make the most of it, though still too many days ahead for any accuracy.
Behaving like a shower, fading away slowly, just made everything damp again, i'll be surprised if any break this evening locally, out once this rain has passed, though yesterday's would be difficult to beat.
Not related to this page, but just looked at the front page of this site and the current conditions in the City of London it's sunny, 17C - but with a 61 mph northerly wind!, oh and it's sunny here in north Wolverhampton and 14.2C.
Won't be any visible evidence of snow on the ground here Sunday morning, unless the wrekin (which can be seen from 30 miles away) is high enough to pinch a few flakes.
I would take the BBC's warnings with a pinch of salt, as they had my area set out for 11 hours of potential thundery activity, and all that happened was that the time frame was constantly reduced, so the result was zero, other than 8 hours of rain.
The old Cheshire Gap event could make itself present this morning, IF the wind speed and direction maintains its current angle, not that we need any more rain after yesterday's downpours.
Wouldn't get too animated by the BBC's forecasts, had warning's out since 11 o'clock this morning but they just kept pushing them back and reducing the time frame, so had nothing but rain here, but then again you may get lucky.
