Looks like the central portion of that rain/snow band is fragmenting a little, i can also see the sun through it as well, so it's not looking too strong - at the moment.
I know it was incorrect, but the MetOffice local forecast for Wolves is/was starting with light snow, then sleet, then finishing with heavy snow, so it's just a case of watching and waiting.
Temp up to 2.5C, so not surprised with rain, maybe Thursday could bring some of the white stuff down, but looking two days ahead is still unpredictable.
I know i said it looked like it was going pear shaped, but aren't the two main runs people take more notice of the 06z and the 18z, as more detail info is used, i may be wrong but seem to recall hearing somewhere.
Anything beyond 3 days is just not worth putting any bets on, the 12z charts could well show a different outlook again, that's why i tend to watch and/or browse the forum rather than post, as it may tempt fate, daft i know but you know.
Yes i know, but it has been showing these signs for a few days now, i know waiting until the 3/4 day zone is best, but if similar signs are still there after the weekend then then a few more on here may become a little more interested.
If that is a streamer forming over NE Wales, looks like it will drift a few miles to the north of my location, looking at it's current movement, hence the change in my local forecast, ice will be the main threat tonight.
