  1. I know, that forecast of any heavy snowfall will be a bit of a surprise now, the MetOffice pinned up heavy snow until 7pm this evening.
  2. Looks like the central portion of that rain/snow band is fragmenting a little, i can also see the sun through it as well, so it's not looking too strong - at the moment.
  3. I know it was incorrect, but the MetOffice local forecast for Wolves is/was starting with light snow, then sleet, then finishing with heavy snow, so it's just a case of watching and waiting.
  4. Temp up to 2.5C, so not surprised with rain, maybe Thursday could bring some of the white stuff down, but looking two days ahead is still unpredictable.
  5. Yep, good old fashioned rain has just opened up here.
  6. I know i said it looked like it was going pear shaped, but aren't the two main runs people take more notice of the 06z and the 18z, as more detail info is used, i may be wrong but seem to recall hearing somewhere.
  7. Slowly going pear shaped again, back to standard UK weather.
  8. Anything beyond 3 days is just not worth putting any bets on, the 12z charts could well show a different outlook again, that's why i tend to watch and/or browse the forum rather than post, as it may tempt fate, daft i know but you know.
  9. Coming down quite heavy here now, first decent fall of the day, still less than a cm covering though.
  10. Yes i know, but it has been showing these signs for a few days now, i know waiting until the 3/4 day zone is best, but if similar signs are still there after the weekend then then a few more on here may become a little more interested.
  11. Thursday next week onwards looks very interesting, IF the pattern remains in it's similar shape.
  12. Struggling to pass the M54, it'll be white over by the morning - from an icy frost.
  13. What are the odds on this patch fragmenting like the last one, fairly high for a guess, it'll just run out of energy and moisture.
  14. Dry and clear here now temp down to -0.8C now.
  15. Well i think seeing is believing, so it's the UK, the glass will always be half full because forecasts are so inaccurate and change hourly.
  16. Well that didn't take long to fragment did it, fading now, just a light slushy coating away from the road.
  17. Mmm, doesn't look as strong as it was 30 mins or so a go.
  18. If that is a streamer forming over NE Wales, looks like it will drift a few miles to the north of my location, looking at it's current movement, hence the change in my local forecast, ice will be the main threat tonight.
  19. Back to rain and sleet again here, starting to clear through as well, maybe something later, but not getting my hopes up.
  20. Just turned to wet snow, not exceptionally heavy but can be classed as snow.
  21. Keeps drifting from sleet with a few flakes then back to cold rain and sleet again, just the perfect definition of a wintry shower.
  22. Looks like London and the se will kop a heavy event shortly.
