  1. Latest GFS run is a good one late on, but we know it won't turn out that way for all the wishing.
  2. Pennines are killing those showers making their way this far, they're just running out of energy and drying out.
  3. Seems like the north sea has woken up for a little while, though most won't reach Wolves.
  4. It will be different again in 6 hours time, i never post the charts as they never turn out that way, that would feel warm though in any sun.
  5. Latest GFS does not make pleasant viewing.
  6. A more nne drift in the winter will and due to the extended land mass and hills then showers just will not survive, in summer yes, then storms have been produced by that scenario. If the wind was a ene direction then the flow would be from the wash area. An example of this happened last March 1st, 2nd last year, not ideal i know, but it produced a severe fall of snow.
  7. If anything falls today now, it will probably of the wet nature now as temps are up to 2.7C, and the sun is shining here, so another incorrect forecast by both the major UK forecasters.
  8. Roll on the summer and bring on the storms.
  9. Sun broken through now, forget anything now, latest GFS look pretty grim as well.
  10. Looks like you're a hundred metres higher than me, may have something to do with it, or the batteries are starting to cook.
  11. Sun trying to show it's face here now, temp slowly on the up, 1.2C.
  12. It really is a pointless exercise now, as from Monday those milder south-west and westerlies will be back, and they will take some shifting again.
  13. This is the ideal scenario if you want a heavy snowfall, last March 1st/2nd, my wife and i went to a Paul Weller gig in Birmingham, but it was cancelled, stations were closed, we would of been stranded there if we hadn't booked a hotel for the night.
  14. Looking at the activity over the North Sea, it looks less lively than it was a couple of hours ago, so i doubt anything will fall today, not with that band of snow to the south-east of my location so close anyway.
  15. I think most have had nothing at all, just cloud, which they did get right i suppose. Overcast and dry here and temp is -0.8C.
  16. And they STILL have those warnings out.
  17. Those dozy sods have still got those warnings out for the mids, when it's clear on here nowt is falling anywhere.
  18. Looks like that front is drifting in a mainly easterly direction, so if you're expecting any snow in the Mids, i would more or less forget it now, just count back the time scale in the radar, and it barely makes any movement north.
  19. The best forecast is just looking out the window, then disappointment will be less likely.
  20. Still have still got me in that warning zone, even though just dry light cloud overcast conditions are forecast now.
  21. The satellite image still has that band attempting to push NNE.
  22. That SSW apparently has been running a few weeks now, but obviously has had little effect to our weather pattern so far.
