  1. Can see an anvil gone up 35/40 miles to the west of me (Wolves), those in Shrewsbury may have a brief downpour soon, if it reaches them, won't reach me as it is too late, but tomorrow miight bring one or two surprises.
  2. Skies starting to clear here now at last, temp rising quickly though.
  3. I know there will not be any heavy showers near me today, but there are one or spots starting to crop up elsewhere.
  4. There is a band of high cloud spreading from the east which could well be snuffing out these showers/storms.
  5. Noticed that, developed over the top of me, nothing more than just a few drops fell.
  6. Dangers over, no rumbles/flashes, just a handful of raindrops. Still quite warm 21.8C, peaked at 23.7C.
  7. That small shower looks to be expanding at the moment, and it may start raining shortly.
  8. I'm not accusing you of not knowing what thunder sounds like, it's just that i heard nothing, and i am 48 years old i too know that sound, sorry.
  9. That small shower which was to the south of Birmingham looks like it has just been zapped.
  10. Well i'm in Wolves and i didn't hear anything, plus there is no raindrops falling out of that little shower, which right over the top of my location (or very close).
  11. Gone cloudy now after a few sunny intervals, warm though - 22.2C, still not a sniff of any activity.
  12. This country's love affair with cloud is always a massive blockage on the development of t'storms in summer.
  13. Warning has changed locally, was 70% chance of a t'storm, now a 30% chance of light rain, hardly warrants a warning.
  14. Just looked at the metoffices's fax charts for today, and most of the unstable air, appears to be located down the Irish Sea coast lines and the NE coastline, which strangely enough can be seen on the satelite images, so should it be called quits for storms today?. Sun just briefly showed it's face, temp - 19.1C.
  15. The West Mids is JUST inside that metoffice yellow warning area, but who knows they may change that again later, t'storms tend to be nowcasts so it may be another day of watching and waiting. It is trying to brighten up here, but the cloud is very low, and there is alot of it.
  16. Dull, damp and drizzly here, 16.1C, be very surprised if there is any rumbling today - unless of course that bright ball in the sky shows it's face this morning, and then it will only be a small risk.
  17. Nowt compared to Sunday's,that was a one off, i think i counted a few dozen raindrops and that has been it, unless it just bursts into life overnight.
  18. Looks to be dying, you never know, maybe tomorrow.
  19. Looks to be tracking WNW at the moment or just NW of WNW.
  20. It may possibly just be worth keeping an eye on, that to the south to south-east of us at the moment.
  21. Is that low cloud or shower cloud forming to the north of London on the radar image?
  22. Need a slight change in that wind direction to increase the chance of any "action", (more to an ESE, not NE!).
