Temp is currently at -0.8C here, so melt is down to the recent warmth on areas exposed to the sun.

Gotta be realistic now, i think this event has run out of energy for the mids, unless someone has a magic wand that, is and can create something out of nothing.

Just been out, maybe 4" was overestimating the fall here, nearer to 9 or 10 cm's, also noticed a few flakes coming down again, seem to be building back west from here, looking a the radar, having just said that it just almost disappeared.

The bbc app still insisting on heavy snow showers, radar says not even a sniff.

The beeb will have to change their app forecast, they are completely inaccurate.

Sunshine looks unlikely at the moment, looking at the latest sat image anyway.

I might be just be hoping or imagining this, but the area of precip does looks like its, trying to fill in from the the NE.

There's still small flakes falling now, slowly getting lighter, might be the end of it soon.

Bit of a surprise on awakening this morning, between 4 and 5 inches must have fallen for a guess, and it's still coming down, temp is down to -2.8C.

Still coming down here, maybe be a interlude soon, difficult to guess the depth but i wouldn't say much more than 3cm.

Not convinced this streamer over me will last that long, looks like on the radar it is slowly drifting north. I can just see this petering out, at the moment anyway.

Started to get kicking not, though they are only showers, nothing persistent, temp is quite low also -2.2C.

It's not heavy or moderate even but at least it is doing something.

Started now, it's the dry stuff, so it's blowing along the ground so can't be measured.

North, about a mile south of M54 J2, not much is falling just a few bits and pieces blowing in the wind.

Not going to happen here, between those two bands of showers, been like it most of the day.

Still in a dry hole. IF the wind does change direction then i will kiss goodbye to anything significant falling.

I'm not too optimistic at the moment, it gets close then just dry's up and/or run's out of moisture.

It just ain't gonna happen here tonight by the looks of it, the snowshield has it's padlocks on.
