  1. I was supposed to be going to see Paul Weller at the NEC on the 2nd of March, but looking at the current output that could put the cat among the pigeons, in terms of getting there, but then again it is 10 days away.
  2. I know the precipitation cannot be forecast this far ahead, but the distribution appears to be larger or longer, depends how you look at it.
  3. A few subtle differences on this run, but nothing to worry about at the moment.
  4. Currently locally, it's looking very cold, yes, but in terms of snowfall very little, but i know it is still 5 days or so away, whether closer to the date it hits our shores precipitation will become more accurate, time will tell.
  5. Well, tonights GFS's run and we (as in i), looks set for 4 possibly 5 days of cold and/or potential snowfall, and then it gets broken down at little too easily and quickly from the south. Any one else thinks this, but it is still 5 or 6 days away, so any possibilties are still on the table.
  6. I think we should all try to hold fire & relax a little about this "oncoming winter & snow event", otherwise there could be some long queue's for the chemist!
  7. That was another useless attempt at any snowfall in my part of the world, forecast or not, temp up to 3.1c now, so forget any white stuff here, still with light rain and the sun even tried to make an appearance through the cloud.
  8. Something falling here now, looks like the wet watery stuff, i.e, cold rain. temp on the up now 2.7c.
  9. I would like some warmer weather, but it is still February, so there MAY be some surprises, but looking at the current charts, they always seem to be 7 days or so away.
  10. If you look at the sat image, once whatever has been sucked out of this, it looks pretty clear.
  11. That shower to the NW is fading rather quickly, it dosen't look like there be much left in it, should it even reach here.
  12. I'm in Bushbury, the north side of Wolves. It really wasn't that heavy, just seemed to fall heavier with gusts of wind, the ground and grass is just wet.
  13. Well it wasn't that heavy here, it was very stop start, either my location had something to do with it, temp (which is currently 1.2c), or just plain elevation, as everything is soaking wet as there is no evidence of any snowfall.
  14. That front looks like it's starting to breakup and losing intensity a little now, but still very wet snow/sleet is falling. Temp has fallen down to 1.0C now. If this had fallen overnight then a significant fall may have occured.
  15. Small hole in precip forming over my location now, very light rain still, temp up to 2.0C now.
  16. Light rain, barely visible. temp at 1.6C so snow unlikely, unless precipitation become heavier.
  17. Looks like those buggers up north will steal our snow or attempted snowfall now. Looks further north than forecast, and moving in a slightly more west to east direction. Anyway all this snow talk will be forgotten after tomorrow morning, and then it's just waiting for the next cold spell - if it should happen.
  18. Well i've got 8hrs of light snow from 8am, plus 5hrs of sleet on Sunday morning, they are just risks though, so i won't believe it until it happens. It's good to keep an eye on this though.
