  1. The local Met Office forecast for my location has changed for this afternoon, from heavy snow showers to light sleet ones, now there's a surprise. I know they should be taken with a pinch of salt but......
  2. Pushed through now, just made everything wet underfoot. Seems NW England will have all the fun out of this.
  3. Clear precipitation here, temp 3.3C, so no surprise really. Tell a lie just to sleet.
  4. Welsh Mountains have/are absorbing this event up, needs a more north westerly movement on those showers for anything slightly substantial to fall.
  5. I'm not surprised, it's just the local forecast was to initially start as light snow then sleet, but there was nothing, but the actual air temp has continued to drop over the last hour or so.
  6. Temp 0.8C now here, but still raining, not a even a flake mixed in.
  7. Just touched -0.1C here, and partly cloudy skies.
  8. If anyone is keeping tabs on the latest GFS output (06hrs), then all this talk (not on here!) of the "heatwave" is over, then i think some need their eyes testing, because if the charts stay anything similar to what this mornings are like, then you will not be too dissappointed.
  9. Sorry for that, i will refrain in future, and make an effort to post in the appropriate threads.
  10. Possible, possible heavy shower to the WSW of us, some lightning has been witnessed on lightening maps, so it may be worth keeping a good eye on.
  11. Everything still bone dry here, very little it anything fell last night, a lot lot cooler now, temp at 17.4C, & trying to brighten up.
  12. Those storms/showers are shifting north at some speed, so whoever is lucky enough to recieve one won't have alot of rain will they?
  13. Check that, reached 31.1C, some pretty warm air about.
  14. Upto 30.8C now, but it's turned overcast, so that may be it's peak.
  15. Just hit 30C here, fairly cloudy with occasional spells of sun.
  16. West Mids conurbation been issued with a Thunderstorm warning, though that is only for the eastern fringes of it, still annoying when Wolverhampton is still included in that warning, when the BBC and Met Office website has hardly any rain mentioned let alone storms here.
  17. Thanks for that, i'll try to read it when i can concentrate for long enough, without getting a headache. (not being sarcastic by the way!)
  18. 23.9C, but turning cloudier, today was meant to be the sunny day, now it's Friday.
  19. I just suggested as a possibility that's all, the output may well be completely different this morning, but personally looking five days plus ahead is best to be taken with a pinch of salt as the last two or three is a perfect example as the forecasts changed almost hourly, but this is 2018 so it's unlikely to be the same as 2003, which however i cannot remember due to my med condition.
  20. There is a danger that once the atlantic gets its foot in the door, there could be some danger in trouble shifting it.
  21. It ain't going go out with a bang here, more like a dribble.
  22. Looks like once Friday is over the heat (only 27/29C, Met Office and BBC forecast locally) may not return - looking at the latest GFS output, except maybe in the south and east of the country, so nothing exceptional here, not even any storms, looking like the heat will die rather limply.
  23. Looks like high pressure taking over back end of next week - on tonight's GFS 18z's.
