The Beeb and the Met have 5 hours of light snow stopping now at midnight and 1am, i know they're automated, but the warnings just seem less and less warranted - unless there is a major change in it's intensity and direction.
Met and Beeb looks like have next to nowt falling here now, this event will be pointless now, just beware of one or severe frosts, as next week from Monday looks like turning less cold/milder for the foreseeable.
The Met and BBC app were both useless locally here yesterday, they both had light/heavy snowfall on and off from around lunch time, but all that fell was predominantly rain with a wee bit of light sleet and wet snow for 30 - 45 mins, so i never take that much notice of as it changes fairly frequently.
Whatever falls here (if it even reaches) will be not a huge amount, not enough to cause any serious traffic problems anyway, then again a couple or three cm in the UK......................
Just turned to snow here, not heavy but snow, metoffice forecast still insists on this fall as heavy and light snow from now until 8pm, can't see that happening, maybe another hour or so. The main danger should be for ice later in the night. 1.5C.
I think the east and south-east may do quite well out of this, as the front looks to be picking up energy now it has passed over the western side of the mids. I think any significant fall has gone here now looking at the state of the back edge of that front. And it's still predominantly rain here with just a few pieces of sleet mixed in. Temp 2.7C.
I know how it works but it wasn't forecast to get anywhere near 4 degrees today, even now they're still saying for it to be 1 to 2 degrees, it's just so incorrect.
