First flash of lightning and distant thunder heard in Evesham. It's coming!
-
I'm surprised it hasn't been removed - at least from the south. And replaced with one for flooding!
-
After the roads and pavements cleared through the day, we now have a good covering again with snow still falling in Evesham Hadnt expected this!

What I hate is the whole , lets see if you can get into work syndrome. , even tho you may get stuck and then not get back home for hours. We can all work from home as we have laptops and they can divert the calls as well. Its flipping 21st Century technology ... just take the stress out of people. Of course the bosses who will be having a go at people for not making it in will be...... sat by their fire.
And you can order your milk and bread online too - so really no-one needs to go to work ......

Surely it's a great cold spell? Admittedly for you it hasn't been a good snowy spell but to suggest it's a very poor cold spell with the temperatures and wind chill we've had is crazy talk?
Nationally, its the best (worst) in many years
Unless you live on Skye (apparently)- 2

But then the Daily Express have also hit the jackpot this year...
Not sure we have had 100 days of snow just yet?
-
Okay, I am starting to get annoyed now - all the heavy snow crosses the Cotswolds, gets to Broadway, and then changes into light powder ...... So far not seeing any more than we had through the day.

So Leicestershire not included in the amber warning then , typical! It is hammering it down though, small flakes. So not all bad
my feeling, we are so central we miss it when it’s north south east or west! But because we are central we are so often teased by all the fronts!
You get bits of everything but all of nothing!
Mind, it's often the same down here. Hopefully not this time -
If only I didn;t have a stinking cold that I just can't seem to shift - particularly a killer cough - I might be enjoying this ..... Oh, what the hell, despite having a stinking cold that I just can't seem to shift - particularly a killer cough - I am going to enjoy this

Try the M80 .......

Just a reminder once again: if you are in a warning area it doesn't mean you will get snow; if you are not in a warning area it doesnt me you won't get snow

Whatever the models show, the MetO not-a-forecast has just upped the stakes for Evesham tomorrow with an 80% chance of heavy snow (from 60% chance of light snow) .....

Snowing nicely here atm and nothing showing on the radar!

I don’t recall ever having a snow day from work (how tragic is that! ) and in 1991 I was in my last year at school so probably did have a day or two off if I recall...
I never had a snow day when at school. But that was back in 79 and 81/82. These days, most kids get several snow days every year. Thats how it's changed .....

Someone has posted a snow risk map showing a potential of up to 100cm snow for our region, was it a joke or real?
A silly joke

I'm with you on that one.....The only one I remember was March 2013, Around the 20th it snowed for 24hrs with a total of 20cm plus and it didn't get above freezing all day.
Think that may have been the day of the great slushfest in Evesham - snowed all day and by evening we had around 2cm, of slush ..... temps here hovering above freezing all day. This week wont be so marginal

Is that a streamer set up thru the wash on radar? Matters not to me as it will miss anyway
this beast is not playing nice!
It's heading for me - so is sure to die out ....

What I find most interesting is that the MetO not-a-forecast has consistently shown a max temp here of -2c on Thursday. That would be totally remarkable regardless of any snow
I have never recorded an ice day in March- 2

Just had a small thunderstorm pass by Evesham, heading east Possibly some C-G lightning as there was a power dip just before the first thunder.
