  1. 12.8c in the capital. Proper autumn day today, nice drop of rain and grey skies. Heading to allotment to do some work. Tomorrow looking a tad breezy with more rain. October next week.
  2. Hope everyone is OK after the big storm. My watering can was blown over. As I said yesterday, all it was ever going to be was a brief squall line and a bit if rain, 2.4mm. Still, back to 2/3 weeks of boring non-event high pressure next week which will please most. Haven't checked on Sunday yet, though I dare say they will be warning me my bin lid might blow off. Drama....
  3. Everything moving n/ne on the radar, we will probably get a trailing front with about 3 gusts of wind and some blowing drizzle down here later tonight. Not getting too excited about it to be honest. The usual fayre....
  4. Here's hoping mate. Only 4mm so far this month, bonkers. I guess about another 8-10mm over the next 5 days if we are lucky. The flipflop brigade are still about so we haven't entered proper autumn just yet.
  5. According the Met Eireann Irish Met Service 'Bronagh' will be given to Sunday's storm, depending on how it develops. All rather confusing. Irish Met take on it makes more sense though. Tonight's is a squally front.
  6. Well according to the Irish Met Service Bronagh is the name that May be given to the weekends storm, depending on how it develops. All rather confusing.
  7. What, you mean the 'summer rolls on thread' while these islands get battered by atlantic storms. Yes, I noticed someone going on about blizzards in Scotland.... I left at that stage.
  8. Bit breezy this morning for sure, quite pleasant and 18c. Forecast keeps dropping any meaningful rain the nearer it gets. 4mm of rain so far this month. Not near enough for an Autumn monthm
  9. It could snow in 6 weeks time at end of October like it did in 2008.
  10. Have a good afternoon mate. Always good to read your posts. Especially if there's a Spike Milligan gag thrown in! Boring non-event weather continues. Dull and 17c in London. May get some proper weather later in week.
  11. Constant high pressure just to the south of UK which we have had now for 7 months will always result in very little thunder activity. Lack of instability and absolutely nothing from the continent. They have had just as little thunder storm activity as us.
  12. I think it is all quite related to where you live and the type of weather you like. If any type if weather hangs around too long it gets boring. In my opinion. The most frustrating as opposed to forgettable was the infamously cold snowy December 2010.Managed to get about 5cms of snow in the whole month while places as nearby as Croydon and Sutton had about 25cms. That's stalling fronts for you!
  13. Hopefully. Looking forward to the start of the autumn storm train. Good old lashings of wind and rain, proper autumn weather. Quite warm after cold start here went down to 6.8c Now 17c.
  14. Heat staying just the other side of the channel. Very autumnal in the capital today. Fresh.
  15. Bit damp this morning and 12c. Some rain overnight too, everything freshened up somewhat. Much cooler later.
  16. Even if it did the forecast would change within 18/24 hours to the usual dry and mostly cloudy with the odd sunny spell borefest. It must be the easiest region in the UK if not further afield to forecast. No wonder those ladies on the SE beeb forecasts have always got a smile on their faces.
  17. Here's hoping. Some interesting weather happening the other side of the Atlantic now that may give us some proper weather next week, just hope that limpet high to the south finally does one!
  18. What a load of old nonsense. And a London live webcam with snow!!!! Mind you I'm surprised given its the express they never mentioned house prices or Diana.
  19. Great pics as ever. Keeps the interest in this thread to counteract the mindlessly tedious weather. Going to be 20c and cloudy today. Yeahhh. Zzzzzzzz.
