    Yes it is actually a travesty we have already lost 2 out of the 6 months that have potential to be nice. Only thing that put this right is 100 days of warm sunny weather.

    Hit the jackpot today petty much clear skies apart from a bit of haze and a nice 17C. Incredibly I feel lucky to have this when this should be bang average for mid May.

    No, 16-18c is the mid May average for most of England, and seeing as we have been below average for about 45 of the last 50 days it's not too much to ask for a couple of degrees above average. So no, what we are going through is not normal and we are not spoilt or greedy for asking for 20C in the middle of May so if you want single figures in the middle of May how about YOU move to the North coast of Norway.

    A lot of cold lovers seem desperate to play down how disgraceful the last month has been for some reason. Apparently this is all normal and we are spoilt when we ask for some sunshine and 15C at the end of April, even though as posted above the April minimum has been the coldest in 100 years. People who love disgusting weather that stops you doing anything outside get to "enjoy" that 300 days of the year most years anyway, so let us have the other 65 if it isn't too much to ask please.

    We said this about April. Our weather isn't mobile anymore, patterns get stuck for months at a time. If even half of what FI is suggesting actually happens then I worry for June and July too.

    Bit hazier this morning, but turned into another perfect Spring day by afternoon. 17C.

    No complaints from me about the current weather, 20C + would be greedy, but 15-17C is small variation above the mean and is more than good enough in the sunshine to be comfortable outside. One bad day tomorrow then rest of the week looks brilliant.

    Nice day today, might even hit the dizzy heights of bang average 13C. What a joke desperately waiting over half the month just to get average temperatures.

    It's the constant 3-4 degrees below average that has been so depressing. I don't mind a mix but the last time the temperature was just 2c above average was Easter Sunday, that's one day above average. I have been waiting for this weekend for 3 weeks, and again this weekend will be bang average. We should have had a few days of 16-20C in April by now just because of variation around the mean. So it is you with expectations wide of the mark. Weeks of maxima being below double figures is not normal for April.

    One small plus is it doesn't feel like 7C out there thanks to the sun. I'm guessing we would need a 15C or so in January to get the same "feels like" temperature. This rubbish can still do one though.

    High of 21C yesterday and didn't even go below 12C last night, surely close to a record? Currently 22C and may as well be a mid summer's day, perfect.

    I'm still open to an absolute perfect scenario of non-stop snow with several foot depth drifts, but no way am I choosing a cm or two that will be gone after 15 minutes of sunshine over weather like today. Beyond me why people want Spring ruined just to see a few sleet showers
