  1. Dandruff flakes getting heavier again. Building from the East, but needs to stop moving North now. Who would have thought we would be asking for Southern corrections this time yesterday. Edit- flakes getting bigger now Edit 2- moderate snow
  2. Heavy snow stopped now after leaving about 6-7cm. Hopefully the stuff over Uttoxeter coming my way on the way south later.
  3. Never understood hate for snow that's coming from a driving commuter too, nothing more therapeutic than a walk in fresh falling snow.
  4. At one point I was under yellow with zero snow. I think the Easterly wind is pushing snow at ground level 5-10 my miles west of where the radar is showing it.
  5. 5-6cm now, best snowfall since 2018 and it pushes this winter up to decent 5-6/10. To think I was 10 miles away from nothing, fine margins has been the story of the winter.
  6. Heavy snow now, approaching whiteout with a nice snow mist going on. Finally gone above the patchy dusting stage after 7 (SEVEN) near misses. Good 2-3cm so far.
  7. No idea what is going on with radar and why it's getting it so wrong. Right in the middle of bright yellow yet what's actually falling is equivalent of dark blue. Not getting more than a dusting if this continues.
  8. And I'm really doubting the predicted maximums tomorrow, especially with snow fields. Not a chance of 4c tomorrow, more like 1c.
  9. I really should not have woke up at 8am today, 3 agonising hours of being in phantom snowfall on the radar yet it's only now that I'm allegedly in bright yellow echoes that light snow has started. Please just go right today, I'm tired of the near misses.
  10. Definitely further east but not sure about further North or South, so don't know what impact this has on us other than it arriving a few hours earlier.
  11. Yep too far east Wednesday night, too far north yesterday, too far south and then north today. Getting very boring.
  12. All rain here, don't know what's going on this winter, the further South and West someone is the colder and snowier it is, complete opposite land.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if a more organised band forms like in 2019.
  14. Did BBC not learn their lesson after the "cold and dry spell" the week after Christmas? Will never understand why they so confidently say it will be dry. As long as low pressure is so close troughs and showers will always pop up.
  15. Just about in Sunday's warning area, but not happy as these always correct South. Anywhere above Birmingham is at risk of missing out imo.
  16. Lmao just as it turns to snow, the gap appears and heads straight for me. This winter can fck right off.
  17. Seeing some flakes now but what's the point, the band will have gone past in 10 minutes, 10 miles too far east for the 5th time this winter.
  18. Still hasn't turned and band rapidly weakening. Cannot believe the difference in snow this year between here and places 10 miles west of me every single time.
  19. Why is the sleet line not moving further East on netweather radar...
