  1. Got to be done matey! It's so close now I can almost taste it I know I must sound like some hyper kid but this morning, I totally wasn't expecting to see any snow for the foreseeable future. So for this to pop up at such short notice and you couple that with the fact i've only seen a sugar dusting of snow in 2 years... Makes me very excited at the prospect of a covering
  2. Cheers snowgeek! Glad to have you onboard. 0210 radar update... It's intensifying a bit!! Come to papa.
  3. Right, this band of SNOW is right on our doorstep now. Some pretty heavy bursts in this as well. If this goes wrong now, i'll be absolutely livid! Haha.
  4. Ah, a new poster! Welcome to the crazy gang buddy
  5. The Net Weather premium radar. Costs about £24 a year I think. Well worth it in my opinion!(I'll have the money I earned from that plug paid into my paypal please Paul) Seriously though, been using it for about 6 years and it's the best radar out there.
  6. It's looking slightly more promising here with that band currently over West Mids but it needs more of an Easterly movement to it for us in Ox to see a covering!
  7. 01:45 update is a bit worrying! I expected to to start moving more Eastwards than it is doing. If it carries on like this, we'll see the scraps on the Eastern side of the band. If it starts to pivot Eastwards in the next 20-30 minutes, we would be in business for a covering. This is going down to the wire!
  8. Next radar updats shows more Easterly movement. For the love of God don't stop! Haha.
  9. I've turned the hoover on and stuck the nozzle out the window in a desperate attempt to swing it
  10. It has swung ever so slightly more Eastward but still not enough for my liking! It needs to start heading in more of an E/SE direction. At the moment it's on a S/SE track. Nick, if you read this, do you expect this to start wrapping around the low and swing more Easterly?
  11. Haha! Even though i'm worried that this will slide to our West, It is very addictive to watch. I'm like some addict waiting for his next fix. I'm waiting with baited breath for the next radar shot, frantically refreshing the page
  12. Will you greedy West Midlanders send this down to Oxford already? Squeaky bum time here waiting to see if this will reach here or miss!
  13. I'm crossing everything here! Even my dogs paws My prediction is... It'll lose some intensity as it moves further S/SE and we'll probably clip the Eastern flank of it. It's at times like these that i'm grateful that radars exist
  14. Agreed Mark and Enforcer. I'd be as happy as a pig in excrement even if all we had was a decent dusting here. They are having some pretty heavy snow out of that in the West Mids. 20-30 mins of moderate-heavy snowfall is all I want! Is it really too much to ask for?
  15. *Start's singing 'Save Tonight' by Eagle Eye Cherry* Save tonight and give us a covering of snow, come tomorrow, tomorrow it'll probably be gone. Save tonight...
  16. Come on PPN, start shifting more Eastward dammit!! Seen 2 paltry sugar dustings so far this Winter here and last Winter... Well, I won't even go there. We need a covering
  17. Haha, I still have a thick Leicester accent even though i've been down here for 2 years now. Most of the time people down here can't understand me. I say things like "catch the bUs" and "GrAss". Whereas the locals tend to say "catch the bas" and "grarrrs". Tis not right I tell ya
  18. Most people are probably in bed! Haha. Looks like an all nighter for me. Combination of Fifa 15 on PS4 and radar watching. Beats going into Oxford, spending £50 on booze and waking up with a sore head
  19. Hope you are right buddy. Glad to see you doing well for yourself now by the way funny how we both ended up further South over the years!Did any of the models really pick up on this first streamer?
  20. It's gonna skirt West of us, i'm 90% sure now looks like it's taking too much of a Southerly track.
  21. Yeah I mentioned that last night as well. I don't mean to sound like i'm being petty but how can Glossop be classed as the Midlands? It's 10 miles East of Manchester! Some will probably think "well you can't talk, you are from Oxford and posting in a Midlands thread!" But I post in here and the 'South West & Central Southern' thread. I still think Oxford is Central enough to be classed as Midlands though.
  22. Yeah I thought that when I looked at the radar from 11pm to 12:15am with squinted eyes! Haha. It's like some kind of illusion. When you play it in the 5 minute radar, it looks like it's heading SE. When you look at it over the space of an hour though, it looks like it's heading straight South and Missing most of Birmingham!
  23. I've got a nasty feeling that the PPN is going to slide to our West. It looks like it's swinging SE but if you compare it from 11pm to 12:15am, it is heading almost straight South
  24. Oh do keep going, that is music to my ears
