Looking decent across the Thames from the Essex precip. Anyone able to confirm anything yet?
Wow - the last half has really developed this little area
I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if much of it gets past West Malling on our side of the estuary

That stuff firing up over Southend and Burnham looks like it might be about to join up with a form a streamer with the line coming into Clacton.
-
A few bits and pieces of convection firing up here and there - could be worth keeping an eye on the radar for the next half hour

Oh darcey has been giving it all day, ive had quite the pasting
That's good to know - At least Darcy has delivered for someone.
Darcy has left a few others on here feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Radar echoes starting to take a more convective look about them in the estuary.
Still pretty lame - but could pep up a bit I suppose

Is anyone actually getting anything from that streamer through Sheerness/Maidstone/Paddock Wood area etc?
very light snizzle in Tunbridge Wells

Definate change in wind direction, however showers are really dying quick when they hit the land, so not sure how far they will get. As usual nothing much getting past the north downs.
Funny, because when its rain - it has no problem clearing the north downs

Looks like a very small pivot - cant see things moving that far west from their current trajectory - maybe a few miles.
Its brought Ipswich back in the game and should help Southend and Medway - if the intensity keeps up.

I suppose not really weather related but I just wanted to say thank you all so much. I've really really enjoyed following the posts today. I am awaiting Open Heart Surgery sometime this year and you have really taken my mind off things. Thanks again everyone. I really mean that.
Best wishes with that

My take is that it'll be more heading towards the North Kent Coast. Not enough Easterly element yet.
It might encroach slightly further west with a small pivot - but I agree general direction of travel wont change much

Predictive Dutch radar suggests ppn pepping up and a bit of a pivot westwards
If correct should help those places in the corridor of doom (Brighton up to Ipswich)
Dont know if the dutch radar is any good - but the ppn does seem to be backing up a bit in the north sea

Looks like my location will be in the corridor of death for the next couple of hours, unless there is a shift in wind direction
Generally about 2cm but pavements and roads all clear.
-
Lighter snow now - about 1 inch where it has settled. Roads and pavements still wet.
If the streamer makes it down from Medway it should pep up again in about 20 mins or so.
-
Think Brighton will be in the game in the next half hour - if cold enough

Commemorative £5 coin for the queens jubilee sized flakes here now

had a nap for 3 hours - heavy snow now falling and starting to settle on most surfaces.
Still too wet in on roads and pavements

Still more rain than sleet or snow in Tunbridge Wells
Bruce Jenner transitioned faster than this!!

I think the disappointing aspect for many is probably the temps and dewpoints.
Hopefully this is just a delay - the radar is actually stonking now - at 3am it looked like the whole was fizzling out.

was always looking likely as soon as the ppn looked to take on my convective characteristics
