Hope you mean 3am haha
I do - I've become nocturnal what with the weather and the cricket - no idea what day or time it is most of the time.

Conditions gradually becoming conducive for snow across kent.
Expecting most pink by around 3pm - based on various weather stations readings and the direction of travel of temps and dewpoints.

Snow Pixel upgrade alert for the 1.50 radar screen!!

Think we are in transition at my location now - a lot more sleety than it was half and hour ago.

What do you mean when you say ppn is really pepping up if you then say it doesn't look too good for heavy stuff?
I don't think this will be marginal a few hours from now, and there's plenty coming for many and heaps for lucky ones. Stay patient.
Its pepping from really light stuff it was showing an hours ago.
Separately, I was pointing out that you don't really needs yellows and reds to get a good accumulation of ppn - based on the early January (non) event.
Sorry if it didnt make a lot of sense - its quite late now!!

North Sea ppn is really pepping up
Radar doesn't look that impressive for heavy stuff - but very similar look to the early January stuff that was wrong side of marginal - and a lot of places saw over 30mm of rain in 24-48 period.
-
Wind really picked up in Tunbridge Wells - still mostly rain in my location.
Doesn't feel that cold yet.
-
Some Darcy associated PPN now showing on the Net Weather radar - looks like Suffolk, Essex and Kent in the game

What would the 2m temperatures look like for the end of the GFS run
Below zero throughout the day - not quite as cold as earlier in the season as there would be a degree or so extra of solar heating - still damn cold
-
Heavy rain now in Royal Tunbridge Wells - does feel appreciably colder than an hour ago.

We moved a few years ago used to be 135ft asl but now down to 81ft asl so marginality is awful for here
Just up the road though in Rayleigh it can get to around 200ft asl and thats only 3 miles away
Bet you are not looking forward to the Greenland shelf melting!!!

looking further ahead - 18z GFS does indeed keep the cold coming for a good 10 days.
Lots will change - but I am now thinking a swift breakdown from the Atlantic is now looking like a big outsider.

Exactly. I can’t understand the doom-mongering posts when the event hasn’t even started!
Going exactly to plan here as far as I can tell. Temp dropping about a degree every 90 minutes, down to 3.8c now with a DP of 3.3c.
Link to my garden weather station if anyone wanted to take a look..

Love that graph with the Temps and Dewpoints - couple of hours I reckon before things get very interesting.

You’ll do well stu..watch
from radar watching alone - confidence is increasing.
Appreciate this isn't the whole of the region however.

Based on radar trends - I am expecting most of Kent to be 'wintry' by 1am - plenty of ppn piling in as well.
I know Kent is only a part of the region, so a bit IMBY - but also the part of the region that has been largely starved so far.

That was subsequently delayed to early hours people who have reported wintriness that’s ahead of schedule.
I'm amazed at the push into Kent with sleetiness - observations are not supporting this particularly - didn't expect anything south of London until 1am at the earliest.
-
worth remembering that the big push of cold from the north and east was between 9pm and 3am - that has been modelled quite consistently for a couple of days now - so everything is going to plan.
