this rain mad slows even stops then heavy again been at it all day repeating. According met here till midnight at least. Just parked the bus, will it finally shift or run out of water. How much is up there my station says 68 mm dropped.
-
thanks knocker very informative read something that puzzled me too
-
met has us having alot heavy small clouds heading into our area from 6pm short sharp some very heavy.
-
that downpour did ramp up in the end to 48mm/hr rate rain threw 25mm rainfall here. Nothing thundery just 1 heavy burst.
-
Off to RAF WADDINGTON for the airshow at the moment. Would really prefer these heavy showers not to materialise :-) if they do then at least throw in some t and l for an airshow with a difference! Perhaps a tornado would be good! I suspect though it won't be the weather kind.
enjoy yourself Greenday will be packed anounced in our local no tickets on the gate also some news info for you Greenday you might not know is sadly due to extension of runway no show next year.
On subject getting Dark here at moment as cloud develops, we had one dark cloud develop last night around 7pm but as reported no convection it moved on hopefully today different.
ps right on cue it lapses cloud downpours not massive 8.00 mm/hr rate
My lack of expertise but is there convergence line in lincs in this image

Yes Le Havre area..how many times have we seen this lol? Just wait until the batch of unsettled weather now over us meets some of that hotter air...over the mainland.Webcam livestream on alert
was it Le Havre that fired those torpedo's of storms at UK few weeks back.
-
Thanks Greenday. I wonder if we could see interaction from the continental storm to UK storm development feeding energy. The gap the width of Wales looking meteox in places.
-
been very quiet here for few days only note was the other tuesday we got torrential outburst at 11am. Despite models talking 20mm rainfall its been dry since. We did have nice storm develop moved south without doing anything
-
I just looked meteox going in norfolk/suffolk .. I also noticed friday now will miss though south coast could get a chance but as it rotates it then hits south lincolnshire and norfolk/suffolk regions sunday.

Lincolnshire has an invisible physical link with the near continent. The residents of Lincolnshire have known of this link for years but they don't want the rest of the UK knowing about it. This link is the reason why they get so many storms.
yes ssh were hides before revealing.
Serious note this could cause us to have quite deluge if it comes off.
Noticed last night TORRO has said posted by smartie Interesting that it was possible rain wrapped from supercell. Anybody who go out storm chasing did you find evidence
http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/103796-rfmi-tornado-damage-9-june-2014/
Having examined high resolution radar imagery, photos and model output we think (at TORRO) that the supercells on this day may well have produced at least one tornado.
However, radar imagery and model output suggests any strong ground circulation was likely wrapped in heavy precipitation.
Therefore could members in Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire, SW of the Humber, please look out for reports of unusual damage.
Likely track area extends from between Wolverhampton and Leicester towards Hull.

Significant convective weather in Lincs??? You don't need a high res post processed model to tell you that nugget, CAPE over Lincs = thunderstorm, CAPE near Lincs = thunderstorm, no CAPE with an LI of +10, RH of 10% and a rising pressure reading of 1300 millibars = isolated thunderstorm...Lincs is like a lightning substation and would manage to conjure a supercell if experiencing Antarctic conditions !!
One day we will relinquish the crown honest

Just seen this posted on FB from the 9th June in the Netherlands
Amazing that why is there saying lighten never follows same path clear when slowed lightening often repeats one case horizontal one went the exact same path. Wish we could tap into free energy.
Been some amazing days meteox has friday east coast another possible good day.
-
Is that Peterborough cell increasing heading our way not rubbing it in honest
-
***** haven't heard thunder like this for bloody years literally ripping through the sky (apologies for language) I have a feeling it's moving out to sea now
follow the coast to donna hook probs hit us on the edge before saying goodbyes looking at radar. Sounds really good think the worst of the rain battered west of kings lynn, possible poor old walpole, sutton bridge area just missed skeggy.

aye its madness when will it shift read MET has the same warning tomorrow surely not it will shift by then wont it 48 hours heavy rain could be bad.
dont worry my weather station on side of flats get cascade effect on downpours so it put it out slightly but if I adjust it effects normal rainfall gone to 79 mm now
