  1. Loved the thunder and hail earlier- I had a poor squirrel sheltering with me on the balcony whilst I watched it! Looks like something else is brewing on the horizon at the moment. Dunno if I'll get to post much in the way of pics this year as our block is undergoing maintenance, so it's smothered in scaffolding, blocking all my views
  2. It's going to be very interesting to see the coverage Tuesday morning. I am curious, seeing as the jetstream is ramping up again, as to whether Storm Juno could make it as far as the UK? Or is it likely to lose juice as it hits the Atlantic?
  3. Could be. I'm looking at the Netweather radar, so it's always about 15 mins behind. I'm just outside the City so it'll be a bit longer before it gets to me.
  4. I reckon that squall line should hit London by about 4am. Definitely hitting the sack after it's passed!
  5. Yeah, it kind of broke up, and then reformed. Wind's definitely picked up here now, but no squealing windows yet!
  6. Round about 3am-ish, according to the MET. The squall lines still look a reasonable while away yet, so if they do make it as far as London, might be a bit later?
  7. Had these interesting striped bands of clouds pass overhead here in East London at around dusk. I don't think I've seen such formations so closely packed together before- I assume these are from the leading edge of the storm? Unfortunately my pics from my camera phone don't really do them justice. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/20582-/ https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/20581-/

  11. I have to admit, this possibility of snow in the South caught me by surprise! I was just expecting another wet and windy spell.
  12. Just getting gnarly here as a storm comes through. Strongest gusts I've seen so far (though I missed anything this morning).
  13. I don't think we'll get the strongest winds till Tuesday afternoon.
  14. I've been following it and I'm in London. Just not much I can say at this point as I'm not an expert on forecasting.
  15. Yep, might be interesting Monday/ Tuesday, though I think we'll escape the worst of it here.
  16. Are we likely to see much of the remnants of Hurricane Fay reaching the UK next week?
  17. Just popped out to the shops, and spotted a well defined storm front approaching from the SE. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing my camera and taking a pic then, as by the time I'd got back it was obscured by the block of flats. Looks big though. No sferics or rain yet.
  18. Looks like we've got it now. Been piddling it down for the last 5 mins or so, and a big crack of thunder.
  19. I'm trying to decide if it's worth staying awake for a little longer incase anything reaches London, but I've got to get up at a decent time to do a photoshoot tomorrow. The IOW seems to be getting all the fun right now
  20. Yeah, looks like it's heading up towards the Bristol Channel and Wales.
