  1. 26c and its not even properly sunny.......... Can some one blow up this Azores high and bring in a scandi high. The thought of this Azores high ruling the roost for autumn and winter is very depressing.
  2. All you hot sticky sweaty lovers make the most of saturday, according to XC weather it could be as low a max as 17c by monday.
  3. Yuk yuk yuk, how can people like this hot humid sticky sweaty weather. If you have to work outside its hell.
  4. Nice steady rain all day, perfect for the garden. Haven't even noticed its cooler.
  5. To think that in this country away from the south east, towards the north west, many places haven't gone more than 7 days above 20c as a maximum.
  6. I am sure I read that Knocker produced a chart showing SSTs becoming more even towards winter. Just goes to show, computers churn it out and churn it out and by the time it is reality its normally something different.
  7. I do think the, what appears to be colder nights over all this summer have skewed the average temps. Respectively here and much more in many places.
  8. That middle photo is just amazing. I am surprised that such small patches over all is far more than normal. So these patches should last and start growing then soon ??
  9. Iam not getting in between you guys discussion, but what prevailing north westerlies. Rubbish warm humid south westerlies yes, Just not getting into the overall discussion but def no nw winds down here.
  10. Just as long as someone floats the UK back to more temperate climes and away from Thailand.
  11. I do wonder whether there is enough news in the world to report on. Surely by now the public realize that any weather on the front page of the Express is crap. By the way what % of the express does Madden own, lol..
  12. Beautiful sunny skies, feeling lovely and fresh. Lol maybe not, think I might be fibbing lol.....
  13. Main cells seem to be further east now and pos only easy kent and suffolk getting main hit. However Village I think your best straw clutch is home grown ones later tonight.
  14. That looks like a real clipping of kent essex suffolk. As always more likely to be further east, but you never know could be further west...
  15. Properly the most rain we had all summer. Heavy rain for the last 40 mins, fresh east wind and everything getting a real cleaning after the dry summer. Thunder well gone although a nice cell of it of the Thames Estuary/north margate.
  16. Proper rain for once. Dark skies, lights needed. Thunder and lightning, always think lightning is such a waste in the day.
  17. Very much agree with you, humidity seems to be better now but last couple of days have been yuk.
  18. I reckon it must have been around 1990 ish, as I said a long while ago. Its the way of the mountains in that you can have masses of snow mid to late season but if it gets to hot in the summer it just wont last.
  19. I skied Stubia glacier a long time ago. Quite funny dressed to go skiing at the base, everyone else dressed summer style. I remember we landed at Innsbruck with temps at 30c and thinking how the hell will it be cold enough up there lol.
  20. Its now covering a very big area, to be fair it was only meant to be the main south east, but looking at radar its raining ish from Dorset to the wash.
  21. Thanks Malcolm, interesting to see the more in depth views sent to councils. NIce also to have confirmed the above average temps down here for August so far.
  22. With this continuous heat this year in the Alps and surrounding areas, have all the summer skiing areas shut down a while ago and is it decimating the glaciers.
  23. Quote. Remaining dry with clear spells and light winds, becoming cool. Some what a joke issued at around 3pm today, with a bloody great area of rain, all be it light but well shown on the radar chart since mid morning and shown to be heavy drizzle later. Very poor show, think the person that wrote that needs to be taken aside, lol...
  24. Good to see the professionals get it wrong today. Forecast was fine and sunny after early morning cloud. Tonight was supposed to be clear but now looks as if it might rain a bit.
