I dont always agree with you, however this time I do, lol.. The MO must be very confident from their model views. There is a very clear signal for the south to be much warmer than average for some time, with nearing hot spells and possible thunder. I am not sure a plume is exactly the type of weather expected, however they seem to be reading the overall situation differently to some on here. Its the time for Ian to give us those little hot bits of info.

Sorry to be a know all. However yet again the MO had there own models to use as experience. Just like the winter, I think they have called it right and not based on all the excitement and depression on here. It will be hot for a few days and it will get colder and reading between the lines there should be another reload. However for some reason the highs just cant build in the right place for long enough, looks like a carry on from winter. The models do show some far to hot weather for most with hopefully some cracking thunderstorms.

Also the fact how many times did we see snow in the models and nothing ffrom the MO and bingo there was nothing. I heard the first mention this morning that next week could be very warm possibly hot from Carol on Rad 2. I think we need to say nice hot spell and cut down on the records ala burnt many times over the winter.

Blimey its almost worse in here than in winter with no snow lol... At least its dry and not soaking wet every day. -
It seems to me that this semi permanent Azores high that the models are keeping faith with, that is always to far south west. Totally ruined the winter and now will ruin the people that like the hot and sultry summer weather, because every week two that shows this is another week towards autumn. Let face it the countdown to autumn begins from this weekend, lol...longest day and all that. NO I am not saying summer is over, lol...

Thanks for the couple of good replies. Decent summers are often later as Mushy mentions. My problem is that several members give summaries of week 2 weather from the models and do a very good job. However the models seem to be again pretty poor, as mentioned reading the reviews I have been expecting several hot spells that were never going to happen. So of course mr average reads these and then gets the "waste of time reading these" cause they often are so far from the truth. Its very difficult to get a hold on the weather by reading in here sometimes, it seems more in the summer nowadays. Personally I dont want high humid temps, 20/23c and cool nights is perfect with one mega hot day with thunderstorms. Sorry I digress.

After many weeks of speculation I am still waiting for the so called long ish settled hot spell. Much like the winter, it just aint going to happen early this summer. Recent years patterns seem to be later more settled summer conditions, its a carry on from this winter for sure of hope casting.. Many straw clutches going on with models trying to read weather patterns it just cant hold on to.
