  1. You must just be round the corner from me. There is a great sea breeze here, crystal clear blue skies, low humidity, what a perfect summers day. Why cant every summer day be like this.
  2. Its because it has a higher sand base than other areas, therefore higher temps are normally reached there. You will always be cooler than London in this weather, right on the coast in Dover, plus possible sea breezes and no concrete effect.
  3. Which in turn seems to be what Tamara is saying as well. Talking of boring, I think this weather down here will become boring if it stays to hot. Maybe the talk of the summer will be model watching for cooler weather, lol...
  4. I dont always agree with you, however this time I do, lol.. The MO must be very confident from their model views. There is a very clear signal for the south to be much warmer than average for some time, with nearing hot spells and possible thunder. I am not sure a plume is exactly the type of weather expected, however they seem to be reading the overall situation differently to some on here. Its the time for Ian to give us those little hot bits of info.
  5. Sorry to be a know all. However yet again the MO had there own models to use as experience. Just like the winter, I think they have called it right and not based on all the excitement and depression on here. It will be hot for a few days and it will get colder and reading between the lines there should be another reload. However for some reason the highs just cant build in the right place for long enough, looks like a carry on from winter. The models do show some far to hot weather for most with hopefully some cracking thunderstorms.
  6. I must admit it has to top the most stupid charts. Surely at times like this is needs to be remodeled. I will of course eat my words if Norwich does reach 42c.......and not in someones greenhouse...
  7. Does no one remember the winter.... Does no one remember so many charts over the top. The MO 6/15 dayer still not going for mega heat, just very warm. Something tells me that possibly behind the scenes the are doubts. Possibly..........
  8. Also the fact how many times did we see snow in the models and nothing ffrom the MO and bingo there was nothing. I heard the first mention this morning that next week could be very warm possibly hot from Carol on Rad 2. I think we need to say nice hot spell and cut down on the records ala burnt many times over the winter.
  9. I know its early, but the MO arent really adding to the excitement with just warm, possibly very warm and thats only for southern half. Is this another over the top model bonanza like the winter.
  10. After seeing it turn all green yesterday, I see its all white again.
  11. Lol I know where Austria is, I meant where in Austria. Thats not bad even in June at 2200m.
  12. One hours nice steady rain. Very good rain for the garden.... Plus an hour ish of drizzle.
  13. Blimey its almost worse in here than in winter with no snow lol... At least its dry and not soaking wet every day.
  14. Good man, and I didnt even have to persuade you. Much muggier today and my eyes giving me hell, with itchyness, the worse day of the year so far. Roll on sea breezes.
  15. It seems to me that this semi permanent Azores high that the models are keeping faith with, that is always to far south west. Totally ruined the winter and now will ruin the people that like the hot and sultry summer weather, because every week two that shows this is another week towards autumn. Let face it the countdown to autumn begins from this weekend, lol...longest day and all that. NO I am not saying summer is over, lol...
  16. Sounds like you are in another country not county. By 7.30, windows and doors open and outside just in shorts.
  17. Well its crept up to 18c in the cloud. However the wind is increasing now from almost nothing to a nice breeze, that will make it cooler. Inland counties still showing 13/14c.
  18. Thats not going to last though. Seems like we are 5c warmer than most other places, and thats coming our way. The cooler weather that is.
  19. Thanks for the couple of good replies. Decent summers are often later as Mushy mentions. My problem is that several members give summaries of week 2 weather from the models and do a very good job. However the models seem to be again pretty poor, as mentioned reading the reviews I have been expecting several hot spells that were never going to happen. So of course mr average reads these and then gets the "waste of time reading these" cause they often are so far from the truth. Its very difficult to get a hold on the weather by reading in here sometimes, it seems more in the summer nowadays. Personally I dont want high humid temps, 20/23c and cool nights is perfect with one mega hot day with thunderstorms. Sorry I digress.
  20. A 9.50am reading weather online gives 17c here. However the suns only;y been out since 9.45 ish
  21. After many weeks of speculation I am still waiting for the so called long ish settled hot spell. Much like the winter, it just aint going to happen early this summer. Recent years patterns seem to be later more settled summer conditions, its a carry on from this winter for sure of hope casting.. Many straw clutches going on with models trying to read weather patterns it just cant hold on to.
