  1. Definately into cool nights, bright cool sunny mornings. Warm afternoons to about 23/24c, cooling down in the eves. :)
  2. What a lovely fresh cool morning, lovely sunny skies. Reminds me of September mornings really, car full of dew, thats always an August, late summer early autumn sign down here.
  3. Just had a heavy shower come past about an hour ago. Not impressed, not really forcasted, windows in car left open lol. Last checked they were moving away well to the north of us.
  4. Bright and breezy is the best way to describe this morning.
  5. Talking of which freshly made Shepard's Pie has already been devoured.
  6. Typical these days. We get weeks and weeks of almost drought. Now when most of the veg's and fruit doesn't need the rain we appear to be getting months worth in a few days. Ben, its Sunday it always rains it seems on sundays recently.
  7. Well I hope you dont live in the south east, as the MO has been pretty spot on for several months now. However we dont know where you are so cant comment on your area.
  8. Just 1.6mm. From what time. I know east Kent missed out on the main rain till well late yesterday.
  9. Agreed Has maggots in my ripe cherries already. Yes its the wasps time of the year shorlty. Seen several they seem to make a beeline (ha ha) for the cats food.
  10. So now we might actually get some rain. So everyone's plants been dying because no rain for weeks and weeks. Now they are going to die from to much rain and wind possibly tomorrow. Oh well blame it on GM or is it GC now, lol...
  11. If I believed what some peoples view of the models have been reporting over the last few weeks, esp the GFS my garden should be under water or at least never having to be watered even down south. However the reality is so different, I am sure some people really believe what the models forecast.
  12. The other problem this time of the year onwards is you have all the doors and windows open. It cools down in the eve or a cooler day, so you shut or leave open a little, but the ambient temp is so high with the house and ground taht bingo your house/dwelling is very soon a sauna. Thats the beauty of an older house with solid bricks, once they warm up they stay warm.
  13. Well it must one rain one day. However all the rain forecast apart form thunderstorms over the last several weeks has been next to nothing. I for one wont believe it till it comes from the sky and not television or net.
  14. Well done the 25c. Cant grumble about this summer loads days between 21 to 25+c apart from the humidity. Cant see what many have moaned about.
  15. Yes roll on some clearer fresher weather. All these people moaning about crap summer in other areas, lol... Come and join our humid sticky sweaty rubbish down here.
  16. Without wishing to remind people. However wasn't last August somewhat colder and wetter than average and a very disappointing month. SO any charts produced cant be the worst ever.
  17. Quote, from local MO site Cloudy at first perhaps heavy rain. Brighter conditions spreading during the afternoon. Seriously bad forecast. Issued at 2.02am.
  18. An hour of much needed rain at the right time. Cleared and blue skies, def not the timing that was expected. To be honest, I think today's forecast so far was called wrong timing wise by all.
  19. If you have kids, in a very short while you might wish it was late summer, lol...
  20. It means its the "harvest scene", which is associated with the ending of summer. It does mean it can be any time from mid July to mid Sept, so yes you may think its early, however its the overall picture.
  21. Nice late summer photo. Pics like that always remind me that autumn is just round the corner.
  22. NIce fresh sunny morning so far with a nice breeze, little in the way of that humidity feel as yet.
  23. Depends if you are talking about low cloud brought on by the north sea or just normal cloud. Where you are low cloud from north sea wont affect you that much compared to living on the coast. How many days did you get easterlies and cloud last month, because I dont remember many.
  24. Once summer is here, we never really get the low cloud thats a winter up to end of May thing. Once the sea temps rise, we rarely get it until the early morning early autumn fogs in Sept/Oct. Summer is clear skies temps between 20 to 25c, nice sea breeze to take the edge of temps of, calming down over night and repeat and repeat. It does however mean we have to have a Scandi/north europe or over the top of us high though.
