  1. Streamer thats setting up certainly looks good for the next hour. In fact looking at the latest charts i would suggest areas in South Yorkshire who missed out last night may see there 10cm's from todays streamers!
  2. The system is now heading more South than West people have been too quick to write all this off tbh
  3. I believe the Easter edge will intensify and there will be a swathe of heavier snow West to East much like the HiRLAM. You can see intensification happening now
  4. Compared to the euro4 it's way ahead of schedule btw! I'd say about 1-2 hours quicker!
  5. Can anyone in Leeds report whether there is any settling?
  6. I honestly think this first band is intensifying maybe this is why the warnings are out for 5cm for the least effected?
  7. It's been light the past hour mate and hardly touched the sides
  8. We've had the light stuff on and off for the last hour at that intensity it just won't cut it
  9. That light stuff won't settle mate it's been light all day down here and it's not settled
  10. This band further South had literally not stopped expanding!!! If this intensifies in anyway we all cop it for hours before the main stuff!
  11. The band in front of the low really interests me. It's intensified an awful lot!
  12. Notice now the building heavier precipitation over the number. I think we'll see a cm or two in Yorkshire soon
  13. They are coming mate we join them better thicknesses within the next hour we just lack the same instability so cloud depths are called at 5000ft right now hence the crud like low cloud and light snow. Cloud tops will be nearer 9k - 10k by 8,9pm onwards Notice on Euro4 the snow predicted midnight. If you could see in between them hours we have heavy showers hence the 5cm warning. Everyone stay patient....
  14. Go to the model run any of them and lool at the light blue thickness over these areas on the H500. This moved north gradually and with us at 7pm. This is why we will have the same intensity from this point
  15. The thicknesses drop 7pm. I'm sticking my neck on the line. Expect intensification 7pm onwards
  16. I know your a glass half full poster but mate I bet you £100 for charity you get bare minimum 5cm tonight! Nearer 10cm to be honest there are rates of 4cm per hour for nearly 2 hours as a starter over Sheffield!
  17. The radar is starting to explode over the humber just right on cue of the lower heights!!
  18. Agreed! The MET have the best short range model in the world in the UKV
  19. Not a great chart for South Yorkshire that. I would suggest warning are in line with Euro4. Run that sequence through
  20. The Icon had another shortwave cutting through our region Tuesday night into Wednesday. Needs keeping an eye on!
  21. Is there some way you can get notifications for these without having to log on to Met website or app?
  22. Yes mate that's spot on from John. It's H500, T850 air temperature dew points freezing bulb level. We have a tick for all of them but the H500 are limiting to light showers right now but look at how the blues get darker n darker when you run through the models. It's coming the instability every hour is increasing
