All them blobs will intensify out of Lincolnshire mate like before. We have lots of showers ready to explode and grow. Topography helps on the Eastern side of the pennies always

South Yorkshire actually looks good. The radar for this part of Yorkshire is filling out and looks more persistent than further North

Agreed and the reason for the Amber. The MET will change it if they see more intensification of this first wave though

This is West and North Yorkshires turn now. The intensity of the showers further South over South Yorkshire is not where near what can be expected further North tonight. Could be wrong though and I hope i am!

Expect more warnings then if this still hasn't hit. It's moving in when winds are east/north east as well. Could be a blessing

This trough was supposed to bit 12pm. I would say it's 3 hours behind what they predicted!

What is noticeable is no way can there not be more snow rest of today I'm quite surprised with that much instability

Without upsetting our Leeds friends this next streamer is going the same place. maybe 20 miles north so Barnsley in more of the action

Play the loop back yet another streamer is setting up in the same place over smugness! It's just backbuilding constantly. It will be South Yorkshire who this bits again as the winds turn direct East when they reach inland if you play back the old streamer. Now the Amber warning makes sense as it didn't seem to last long enough to dump 15cm. This makes me sense if it lasts till 4pm

I'd suggest that it mate until tomorrow now and I'd say we've just had the worst of the cold spell for snow now. Friday event looks patchy this far North

That trough looks like it's hitting further north east caught in the flow so not good for us or guys in West Yorkshire. I'd suggest thats it for today barring the odd flurry and eyes down for tomorrow

Just to put it out there. The stuff for the Amber warning is what is building in the North sea hitting between 12 and 3. That's the trough from Europe

You'll get snow till 4-5 but yeah not heavy disruptive like our Sheffield contingent. Then us and Chesterfield have got lucky with this like 2010! Never expected it today tbh!

You can see it set up. Convergence right there and a trough 12-3 will pep that are up even more. Could be quite an even for South Yorkshire although more South the better Chesterfield is the bullseye area for me
