Had a blood pressure monitor for ages and use it from time to time. Easy to get paranoid using it. I personally might go weeks between using it.

Mmmnn? Knowing what my dogs use to like licking I am not sure I would want a kiss from them on my face in particular.

Yes a dog can be nice if you like them. But? When I was young I always had a dog shuffling after me as I went about making dams and dens etc. My dad made me a canoe and had one dog who loved boats and you couldn’t keep her off it. . Trouble was she tried to get on any boat she came across. Some owners weren't their too happy.
