  1. Like Stephen King books. Have been given all the Steven King audio books and working my way through them. Not listened to the Stand yet.
  2. My wife says her similar problem mentioned above is aggravated by hot water
  3. My wife has a similar problem and uses Jojoba oil and blue camomile. Gets good results using a small amount. She says it’s a mix 3 drops blue camomile to 10ml Jojoba oil. Very calming.
  4. Yesterday was dried tomato and cheese panini rolls. Today a loaf. I use a breadmaker but usually only to make the dough. So little hassle. Wack in the ingredients and a couple hours or so later you get a nice bucket of dough. Dollop it out for a knock back and then make into a loaf or rolls.
  5. It is great for likes of us who have a garden and are into homely cooking type stuff but many due to upbringing and living in a flat might not have the same advantages. Possibly a bit late now to say get baking and gardening. Unfortunately a lot of the younger generation couldn’t see the need to have backup skills. The take away is only round the corner so why worry?
  6. Make my bread as well but always put it in one of those free plastic bags. Not to avoid the virus until now. Just to avoid any leaking.
  7. At last found a reason to drink beer. As I have a mini micro brewery there is a constant need to sanitise everything. Just worked out that one of the containers full of concentrated sanitiser once diluted produces 500 litres.
  8. Think this is more to do with the Yanks paranoia about people attacking them.
  9. Stockpiling occurred on fears of the computer millennium bug
  10. What will they do when they have stocked up? Buy more probably. I expect some are stockpiling lettuces.
  11. Something to do with the Sun. See below. Be economic and use both sides. Got the idea from my grandmother who use to do this for the men’s toilet at the blacksmiths my grandfather had. Can’t imagine a similar set up now. House adjoined the works where there were a couple of forges and all manner of industrial equipment. Probably what has shortened my mother’s life. She is only 105 and still going. Remember staying with them and found it a paradise. Was using the forges to make wrought iron things when I was under 10. They had a large garden with pigs and chickens that I was delegated to feed. Trees to climb, dens to make amongst others things. Even though I had a bath every night I still came home absolutely filthy. The ingrained dirt took multiple baths to remove. Happy memories.
  12. I imagine you are looking like Fungus the Bogeyman.
  13. They could always house them at Alcatraz, which isn’t occupied. Possibly better to put Bush there and forget him. Always find it quite surprising how many of the US’s politicians appear to be pretty old.
  14. Cruise ships are a can of worms for the spread of diseases. In addition the hygiene regimes of the cruise lines is all important. Fortunately the last couple we have been on the cleaning appeared very good. Staff were always about cleaning hand rails, lifts and buttons etc. I am not inclined to go on any cruise at the present time.
  15. Yesterday’s situation report. Good source of non hyped info. Situation reports WWW.WHO.INT Situation reports – Situation reports provide the latest updates on the novel coronavirus outbreak. These include updated numbers of infected people and location, and actions that WHO and...
  16. Pandemics that changed the course of human history APPLE.NEWS Depiction from the 17th century of the plague in Italy, as seen in Rome's Museo Storico Nazionale Dell'Arte Sanitaria. Pandemics have afflicted civilizations throughout human history, with the...
  17. I’ve got a bar. £55 plus postage. I will accept PayPal payments
  18. Hi, I hope you are fit and healthy and if you do get Coronavirus it will be mild. Please check your facts as it rather defeats your argument. The big issue, as you call it, is not necessarily about you but the ones who are vulnerable (millions). Do you have parents or grandparents? They are the ones who have a higher risk of serious illness or worse. Would you be happy because of your or somebody else’s actions they were put at risk? I suggest you rely on your own research and not throwaway comments on some social media sites. If you are a betting man I am sure the bookies are offering good odds that it is nothing and will blow over in a couple of weeks. I am sure the many old people and those at serious risk, who are apparently of no worth in your eyes, will be happy if you win.
  19. Interesting read Why coronavirus is so difficult for politicians and medics to judge APPLE.NEWS The ill-fated swine flu vaccination programme in the US in 1976 shows the dilemmas faced by leaders.
  20. There have been various temperatures quoted concerning killing the virus. One as low as 27c. If that was the case why doesn’t it die as soon as it hits the human body (37c)?
  21. Some are using the argument that compared to cancer Corvi19 is not a serious killer. Therefore it is a complete bore and nothing of note. There are millions of people who die from various causes every year. But we do not want the many millions with underlying health problems to go sooner due to this virus?
  22. Although we don’t want another reason to die or get ill it is worth checking out Cancer WWW.WHO.INT WHO fact sheet on cancer providing key facts and information on figures, causes, risk factors, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, WHO response.
