Thing is it was about 3 months. I also never had a flu jab until recent times.

After my 60+ years. Ok I’ll come clean it’s 70+ I don’t recall ever having flu. Colds and feeling grotty yes. The thing I do remember is having a flu jab September time many years ago. Almost immediately went down with something causing me to feel absolutely awful. I was still having to go and have a lie down at Christmas. Working was a real effort.

Think on many occasions your body tells you what is needed.

It is very interesting what some posters have said about having very similar symptoms in the autumn. Would be really good if they could be tested. Then we would know what the correct situation is. Problem is there seems to be little chance of it happening.

Only need to look on Facebook to realise the penny has not dropped. Many treating as a big bore or commenting it is only like flu. Might have similarities with flu but there is a vaccine for flu that keep down the numbers. No vaccine for this outbreak.

Agree. Any one who can put up with dealing with my mother needs rewarding. Seems a pity that those who have some savings pay more than the local authority cough up. All rather inequitable.

Could it be that the this is just another case of misreporting of what actually happened? Go to A&E (where the Coronavirus Pods are)? We all know trying post on here that how ever carefully you try and say something some joker will pick holes it and or get the wrong end of the stick. Some seem so keen for others to get it wrong.

If you think that is bad you want to look at the comments on Facebook. Joke joke yawn are some of the offerings. Due to too many years of media headlines of impending extreme events that never happen? Cry Wolf ? Get the priorities right.

Kids are grubby little germ collectors spreading various illnesses about the place.

We keep seeing video of fully protected people wandering about spraying aimlessly roads and other places. Strikes me as a complete waste of time and sanitiser if that is what is being used. Ponder if it just a PR exercise.

Have you tried to be tested? Difficult for medical profession to decide whether cases such are yours are actually worth investigating as so many claim to have flu when all they have is a heavy cold. I emphasise I am not suggesting you are saying anything other than the truth.

I don’t disagree that things could have been better but if you are trying to explain something to the sometimes thick public why not use the analogy of flu? Ok it is not the same but similar. The public are familiar with flu so could relate to it. How would you describe quickly and clearly what Covid-19 was like without referring to flu or even a cold?
