    Agreed with an earlier post, current set ups looking similar to that from end of July 2003. All is needed is a slight rise in heights over scandi and we could be in the money . Even GFS picked up a similar scenario the other day then dropped it next run.

    12z is very much improved next week compared to the recent horror charts. Azores finally winning out the weather next week. Still 7 days away so expect further improvements or more major misery

    6z isn't as bad as it looks with the trough pushing NE and allowing a ridge to build in from the west so I think next week could be East/West split with Western parts likely to be dry and Eastern parts showery. Meanwhile ECM has another dartboard waiting in the wings!!!

    Don't understand GFS, it should never be trusted. Where has that low gone that was destined to sit over us for the next 10 days and beyond?

    12z has just rolled out - and its just as vile as the last run so not going to bother posting the charts.

    I think models are a bit over the top with this cool pool sitting over the UK for a few days next week. It'll either drift east or southeast, sitting right over the UK looks like an exaggeration, we've seen things like this before , It would be an amazing model prediction if it did come off this way since it was picked up ten days out. Funny how models can never pick up a ridge at this range and keep it going, its always the troughs never the ridges.

    gotta love how everyone is acting like that little green blob of snot is worse thing since 2012, Some even suggesting its worser.

    A dry week on offer after next weekend on the 18z as the Azores ridges closer from following a mid-week trough attack from that pesky little green blob but no sooner does it fizzle away after the weekend is done.

    Yes been a horrid summer, too much of that rotten N/S divide which seems to be getting worse each year.. Just waiting for all the hoo-har southern henrys to come banging on about how brilliant their summer was and that UK summer was the best since 2006.

    Gavin Ps recent JMA Friday said both JMA and CFS had the azores ridging in next weekend, with CFS going for heatwave conditions and JMA with a more cooler and dryer option. Not sure what the ECM is looking at to see a trough domination?

    at least its not a dartboard low. Cant contain much rain or wind as its yellow colour and not green snot like it was shown first

    Everywhere is coloured red all except for a small little yellow "spot light" which happens to find home and shine right over us. SODS LAW

    GFS seems to have lost the signal and has been sent off the radar.. Its a bit like travelling on a train with a mobile phone and you enter a tunnel - you will lose signal but takes time to re-connect. GFS is the same, its entered its own tunnel and lost the signal. It will take a few runs/days to pick back up and re-connect considering how strong the signal and support was for a rise of the Azores.

    We'll get there - lots of support and signal at the moment for the Azores to settle for a while, its a slow annoying process but it'll come. Good things always come to those who wait

    Just when things were looking perfect with a Scandi ridge/Azores extension developing and along comes that little disturbance just in time to screw things. Thomas S on the beebs WFTWA will now have egg on his face for suggesting next weeks "26C Warm days and 10C chilly nights" if GFS comes true.

    18z: A blob of green snot appears from out of nowhere in the middle of next week and yet again the Azores is pushed back until end of July.

    The government need to act they know full well of the climate extremes in Summer and Winter in UK. One day of 31C and railways are delayed yet in Greece don't have a problem.
