  1. Yep by far the best season of the year is nearly upon us....just got to get through the next 4 to 6 weeks without that vile, sweaty, sleepless, draining heat returning.!
  2. That first morning opening the front door to a lovely fresh clean sharp intake of really cold air is approaching, nothing can beat it, that rush of cold fridged air up ones shorts leg certainly wakes one up!!
  3. Home to a very agreeable 14c in my bedroom, with no aircon! Perfect!
  4. And where did you gather this information? Home to work, same folk you normally engage with? I didn't know a single person i was speaking to, i covered a good 75% of England in the last 14 to 20 days. Confirmation that i have a far wider sample of opinions!
  5. As for i have found the vast majority. Last ten days done over 2k miles for work, Scotland to Devon to London, you get the picture, not one person, not one was relishing the heat when it was here or missed the heat when it had gone. Don't think most like sweating their bits off in heat and humidity.
  6. I'm not stuck inside as much in the Winter, hence less chance to snack!
  7. For me that is the best part of Winter by far. Fire lit, curtains closed, no flies or open windows, a comfortable temp in the bedroom, love love it. But each to their own. I spend far more time outside in the Winter, must be by a factor of 4 or 5 times. Feel so much more healthy and settled, sleep better, eat less, exercise more. Summer is the opposite.
  8. I'm struggling to understand how today would be called cool or cold in anyway, been in Bristol area today, it was not cool or cold, then East to just North of London the same, even hardly saw any rain! Which i must admit i was surprised at. Not a bad day at all in fact for the good portion of the country i was in.
  9. Agree, one day only thankfully, the outlook is far far better, much more likeable for most i'm finding, majority have a dislike for the heat, not just in my area but in most areas i visit.
  10. A warm and very pleasant Sunday for once! BBQ lit, beers in fridge, food ready, nice 20c light wind fantastic weather
  11. What a fantastic summers Sunday, really makes up for last Sunday's over the top, unusable heat. Lawnmowers are going, cars are getting washed, much more activity. So much better.
  12. Folk seem far less grumpy and more active this weekend than last, more folk about doing stuff and so so much more comfortable. A good summers day!
  13. What a difference a day makes, so so much better today for working in, that coupled with no prospect of the return of the heat makes this weekend useable, will be able to get out and do stuff! Very happy chappie!
  14. 100 percent we can agree, it is Summer, we need warmth and above all sunny weather. Totally with you on this one. Low 20's up to 24/25c with sunshine, perfect. No problem with that at all so long as there is a mixture with cooler days with a spot of rain.
  15. So thankful this vile heat will soon be gone, been a very tough week for working in, REALLY looking forward to the cool down as is everybody i've spoken to!
  16. Actually found this spell much more oppressive than any time in 2018,19 or 20. Lot more humid i've found. To be honest 2018 was a really good summer heat wise, nothing that uncomfortable in my area, just the lack of rain for the countryside resulted in a scorched earth appearance!
  17. oh yes, far better. Much more liveable with! Roll on the weekend breakdown!
  18. Another tough day for working in, everybody was shattered, clients, customers, del drivers, ....counting the days down to relief at the weekend. Most of us haven't a beach to lie on mid afternoon enjoying the hot sand, most have to come home in hot cars and roasting public transport to houses over 30c then try and sleep.
  19. Don't forget over 95% of the population have no access to a beach hence the dislike of this weather, you are very very fortunate.
  20. Just been working in Blackpool, Manchester and near to Leeds today, every single person i met on 3 separate sites was moaning about the heat, very irritable some! Not one liked it, it certainly is the humidity, One was even moaning in a air conned office!
  21. This week is going to be endurance not enjoyment i fear. At least come Friday some welcome relief may be arriving...very welcome by then!
  22. We are here for fun aren't we? not to be analysed what we may have posted last year?
