  1. Yeah saw this, wondering why not many others have seen it, a short but intense area of winds ranging from 60 to 85mph around the Midlands early hours Friday, could be quite damaging with some of these gusts, and coupled that with heavy rain most of the day may make the ground softer.
  2. Currently 30.4C here, and quite a lot of clouds but sun still occasionally making an appearance, when it does, its almost unbearable, sky looking thundery in some parts, not getting hopes to high, but still a little hope a surprise may happen later.
  3. Does anyone know what time the real instability set to arrive?
  4. Slowly cooling now but recorded 31.6C earlier ?️?️ Although there has been bits of cloud, I don't think its covered the sun at all so I think that has helped the temps reach this far
  5. This summer is insane, even while other parts got at least a few mm's last week, we only got a few drops, not even enough to dampen the ground, ive never saw the grass how it is, even the canals and lakes are noticeably lower than they were back in May, and just to think one of the lakes in May was going through a major flood after the severe thunderstorms, now its a lot lower than normal.
  6. We had a good few days over 30c and it wasn't late, we had a heatwave in the middle of June, but I cant recall the exact temps, but I know there was a few days at least that was at or over 30c.
  7. Thought id post the Estofex Forecast, as there is some interest for the spine of the country.
  8. Nice and yeah the lightning storms have been very intense around the med recently, might be due to the higher then normal sea temp of the Med and Sounds great
  9. Shame I missed the last hour, hope the back building makes for some of those intense CGs again
  10. Ohh right lol, and yeah seen some of your past pics you've snapped, they are always really good :)
  11. That main bit is massive, more like a beam from some Aliens up there haha
  12. Nice, just put it on and caught one straight away :)
  13. One of mine too tbh, especially as you can hear the thunder on it too when there is a storm
  14. OMG!!!!! Check out this cam, none stop lightning, literally Or
  15. Feeling very humid and muggy today, clouds bubbling up rather quickly and nicely now with few towers I can see where there are gaps, all in all looking good here at the moment
  16. Very intense thunderstorm earlier lasted around 4 hours, with hail, very very very intense rain, frequent lightning with booming shotgun thunder and flash flooding, which this is the only time Ive seen the roads around here like this and had to help some cars so I got soaking wet walking through the floods but it was all good and pretty exciting but unfortunately properties got flooded and a couple cars stranded, but can safely say that was the best thunderstorm I can ever remember :)
  17. Maybe something will start from this, as it is level with the line over Wales
  18. No, it will be radar watching all the way, as most models and forecast have been wrong already.
  19. Wow what a picture of fork lightning, amazing shot there bud
  20. Looks like they are starting to build across the Midlands as the clouds are getting darker but nothing on the radar yet, anyone know what time it might kick off?
  21. I saw the exact same thing and the plane was not hit, as a saw the actual lightning fork itself, I was looking in the right direction at the time and there was one almighty fork lightning that bent right through the sky, but still would of been a very scary time for people on that planes as it was a very close call.
  22. I agree July 2013 was fantastic and then from the 22nd and 23rd there were some impressive thunderstorms, also I remember around the 27th and 28th there were also some thunderstorms, but the thing I remember was a massive area of rain exploded into life with it being torrential literally for hours on the night of the 27th with a few imbedded storms..
  23. https://www.kielmonitor.de/webcam/livespotting/ Some decent lightning here from Amsterdam
  24. I know this is not this country, but these storms have came from the same air mass we were in, this is just across the North Sea, some decent flashes of lightning on there. https://www.kielmonitor.de/webcam/livespotting/
