  1. Massive downgrades for the warm spell today, a far cry from the 26-30c Bank Holiday charts of yesterday.
  2. Much more pleasant today, plenty of sunshine, still breezy but pleasant enough at 18.6c.
  3. Yup wouldn't wanna be at V Festival right now! not had much rain though mind, just light/drizzly stuff most of the day.
  4. Fingers crossed, all depends on what happens with Tuesday/Wednesday's shortwave, hoping for something like the GEM rather than ECM.
  5. The 06z has a habit of going into it's own ramp mode (e.g 27-29c over us this time next week), and then the 12z always comes and brings us back down to earth. Fingers crossed that pesky pointless shortwave ends up further north in the end! beyond that is still uncertain. In terms of current ramptastic, ideal charts the 12z GEM is brilliant with the shortwave further north and hot, thundery bank holiday.
  6. Finally turned sunny around 2pm here, lovely since then, max of 21.2c in the end and barely a cloud in sight now! if only it was lasting for the weekend!
  7. It is attempting to brighten up now at least but still a dissapointment! Thank goodness it's all change next week (as long as that shortwave doesn't screw things up), after 2 weeks of gloom even one sunny day is going to be a shock to the system.
  8. Had some really really torrential downpours between 5-6am here, woke me up, heaviest rain of the summer! What was the forecast today again? oh yeah 22/23c and sunny spells with any rain quick clearing away. And the reality
  9. Some heavy downpours just north of here causing howling winds at the moment, thundery look about them but moving fast and away.
  10. Same here, hovering around 20.5c after a wet morning with that fine rain that soaks everything and then some brief heavy-ish downpours around lunchtime, dry at the moment but any sunshine lasts less than 5 seconds, unsurprisingly 22/23c across the rest of the region with sunny spells.
  11. Still hovering at 17c here where it has done all day, in an ideal world the GFS cuckoo land of 23/24c and sunny spells would be possible tomorrow but the sun shield's back big time this month so 19/20c more likely.
  12. Had a pretty heavy downpour about 1pm here surprisingly, drizzle since, yet another 17c max day thus far, thought it was meant to be warming up?? Edit: Raining pretty heavy again now, bizarre as there's not much on the radar other than drizzle.
  13. For christ's sake, as if it's happened again , slate grey overcast skies and the odd spot of rain! at least expected a sunny morning, deary me.
  14. It's really feeling like Autumn at the moment here, relentless 17c days with 95-100% cloudcover and just nothingness and another weekend of it to come this weekend, 8c last night, July and Summer in general really feels like a distant memory right now.
  15. Final day of this cold, grey rubbish hopefully for a while, at least it will be warm cloud tomorrow - Saturday, so fed up of these 17c nothingness days, got down to 8.2c last night!! coldest in a while.
  16. Real Autumn evening this eve, 12.9c now and still a fair bit of a cloud, hopefully it will clear up.
  17. 12z continues the trend for a Bank Holiday heatwave, would be such a refreshing change from the last few years, still to early to get excited yet though!! In the meantime Autumn continues today, max of just 16.9c though mostly dry bar a few spots of rain, hopefully clear skies tonight for the meteors!! Looks like an improvement temperature wise after tommorow, 21-24c widely across the region Wednesday-Friday.
  18. Can we bag the 18z please, a lovely return to summer after all this Autumnal stuff.
  19. Yup ended up rather sunny here to for the second half of the day, max of 18.5c in the end so still a bit below norm though in the sun felt pleasant enough.
  20. More sunshine today at the price of a chilly gusty westerly wind holding temperatures at 18c.
  21. Well in spite of seeming like it was going to brighten up earlier, we got this ^
  22. Well some signs of sunshine at least this afternoon now thank goodness, could do with another 4-5c though at least, 17.2c at the mo. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/wm/shawbury_latest_weather.html Certainly no exaggerations on the gloom though, just take a look at Shawbury for proof.
  23. Overcast yet again today, and chilly again at 16.3c with that westerly wind, really has felt like mid-late September bar Thursday, really hoping for some pleasant weather for the bank holiday this year.
  24. A real autumnal cold day with no sunshine since about 9am today, 16.9c, aside from yesterday this week has been a disappointing return to form (slate grey skies) whilst the majority of the rest of the region has had good spells of sunshine (Pershore being 21.7c at the mo an example of this).
