    I’m struggling to see what’s so great about this update! Very very similar to yesterday’s and if anything a push back of the very cold. I mean please correct me if wrong as I’m normally very positive about these updates. It’s ok for sure but not amazing

    Mmmm. GFS was getting a lot of stick this morning. Of course it may still be wrong, I hope it is. However, the ICON has trended away from its 6z run. Let’s see what the GEFS and ECM show.

    It is, but some subtle upgrade points. Naming areas for wintry conditions for a start. They are never this bullish so far ahead. This update has a 2010 ring to it. I’ve read the 2010 met 16-30 dayers a while ago. These last few updates are very similar

    Just dropped wife at the LGI. Roads were fine but that was 30 mins ago. May have changed but the 4 mile drive back home was also without problem. Hope this helps

    Yes and the very small change I like today is from snow showers yesterday to some snow.

    Yes that’s the type of wording they used in November 2010. Not that I’m saying this will be the same of course. Also that wet and windy possibility has been dropped on yesterday’s update from the day before that. So an improvement 2 days running

    You may be right. I thought the MO use their own models and also ec46. I could quite easily be wrong. I usually am

    Yes and i am a bit suprised. I was expecting a similar update to yesterday or a slight improvement. I was under the impression they use the ec46? If so that’s not exactly going on that latest forecast
