Met office have just issued: A green 'be disappointed' warning covering the whole of Yorkshire

Well we got a further update yesterday to amber, and it meant nothing so I think most won't be holding their breath even if we do. Are you thinking we will do well? I hope you're right mate

Very disappointing here in Leeds. If we can't get a decent snow event from what we are told is the best easterly for years, then we may as well get a new hobby. Not expecting anything of note at all now. Fair enough the met office did well predicting the cold quite far out, but other than that they've been very poor with their forecasts during it.

I just watched the met office video forecast. Not sure when it was iussued but the graphic had the snow completely missing us to the west in the morning

I'm sure you know you can have heavy snow at 4c. As long as other parameters are met of course. I'd be amazed if anything other than snow fell between now and friday

Haha. Yes, there is every chance if this gets anywhere near that event, it will be considered! My benchmarks are: January 95 for a snow event, and December 2010 for snow and depth of cold. Obviously March 2013 was great too with significant drifts.

Yes it's getting very annoying now. I was going to post something about it in there. But there's no point as it would just get removed. We've got potentially the best spell of weather for a long time and it's getting completely overlooked. Hanging their hopes on Friday, it's getting tedious now.

Basically we've listened to days on end of the worst blizzard for the south in a century. Now the GFS has had a couple of runs that show milder air pushing in they are all throwing all sorts of tantrums, because it's about time and they deserve it etc etc. In reality even if GFS does verify like the 6z we still stay cold. But remember we don't exist because we are in the north.
