  1. Hehehehehehehehe!!! Such good news Katie (and so good not to have to keep my trap shut anymore....loopy preggie brain plus secrets really don't go together you know!!)

So will you be Katie Loo, Katie 'oo' L, Koo, Katoo L, etc, etc???

Drinks all round (non-alcoholic of course!!!) :D

  2. Thanks for the support girls.....{{{{HUGS}}}}}

I was utterly furious earlier as that damn woman really ruined what should have been a great experience.....

I'm going to have a quiet word with my midwife to get it fed back into the system that this woman should not be let loose with pregnant mothers!

I'm trying to see the positive side that at least I know mini-roo is OK, and that next time I'm going to try and make sure I don't get her again..... :D

    Mrs M: Thanks ducks!

Lady P: Only 3 litres??? Methinks she derserved a whole bucket!

Katie: How terrible: not what you need at all. I swear some of these people forget they are talking about babies and mothers....

  3. Yep....I think the main thing yesterday was the shock...also hearing from my friends at work who had to set up a small field hospital in the entrance to the building.....

One of them ended up spending their day shuttling people back and forth from UCH....and two of our students got off the bus at the stop before to walk around the corner and see the bus explode.....poor dears were utterly traumatised....

But the good side was the UCL community swung into action with beds being offered, everyone beig offered tea and coffee who walked by the building, and a laundry service being set up in one of the halls of residence....

It's just all so very sad.....

  4. We've got all kinds, from historical texts, through to academic books for my work and then onto fiction, etc....

Most of mine are fiction paperbacks, from the classics, thru to modern stuff, and the ones I collect are mainly victorian and early 20th century, although I do have one or two late 18th/early 19th century ones

Mr Roo's faves are sci-fi and fantasy (but not the unicorn and fairy kind IYKWIM)....the ones he has got that are worth a bit are some Terry Pratchetts (but not the 10000 pound jobby, I hasten to add!) and a few other modern signed authors like Douglas Adams, Iain Banks, etc...

I just love books and find it very hard to part with them, even if I don't like them...trouble is they are so damn heavy and take up so much room!!!

  5. Bah! Bet she has a really lonely and unsatisfied life!

Methinks you need to show her that you're chocoholic and proud...come out from behind that desk, get those kitkats outta the drawer and leave guilian shells all over the place...

She'll soon learn (she's probably in denial anyway...)

P.S. If all else fails point out how many e-numbers and sacharrin go into the majority of 'dieting' products... :D

  6. I think trying to make sense of Ken Ring is the most dangerous thing, Peter! There's somethings that just don't make sense!!

BTW don't forget June 22nd, as we all have a date with midnight and clear skies!!! LOLOLOL

Anyway, it's far too early for me to be on here (woke up at 5 this morning)....off to get brekkie before heading off into London..

Good to see we will be priveledged to the secret world of Mr Potatohead....... :o

    Roo :)

  7. The scanner person put the labels on...twasn't me...as she was doing it I was thinking.....well what the hell else could it be!!! :D:D

And Mrs M... mini-Roo is bang on the dates I already had...16 weeks exactly, so due date of mid November is still on! :o

  8. Might wear speedos tomorrow

    OMG.....blurgh...nasty...hic...urgh.....blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!

OON any more descriptions like this, and I'd be obliged if you posted a warning first...it's very dangerous for us pregnant types to get nasty shocks like that!! :o

  9. thanks snow-white...still early days yet (am only about 2 months, but already I'm food faddy, weepy, forgetful, icky, hair brained and as if all that wasn't bad enough, I swear my chest arrives in a room 25 minutes before I do!!! :o  )

it is very odd, cos before I was pregnant I was always scared about how I'd feel, etc, etc, but so far (cross fingers) it's been the most normal thing in the world..it's like my body and mind have just decided it's right and they're just getting on with it...

it's very odd!!! But feels good too :)

  10. That'll teach me for reading a fellow goon's blog!!!

I didn't actually give up smoking for baby reasons then actually, so ner....this child is a complete 100% accident (though much wanted now it's here)....

   :o    <_< :D  :D  :D  :D (emotions felt upon discovering pregnancy.....)

    Roo :)

P.S. What you've really gotta worry about when it's only 25 of us on here, is that it's the same 25 of us.....we really should get a life!!! Although I suspect I'm gonna get much more of a 'life' than I bargained for, come November! :o :D:D
