Points of note via the raws: 1 concentrate on Saturday >Tuesday!   2: assume everything beyond them time params are pie in the sky. : 3 dissmiss all precipitation data charts until 24hrs out of notions. 4: expect a rollercoaster ride until saturdays 12z suites. 5 ; and the most important..let the flow@easterly incursion actually be Dior knocking b4 looking for possible routes of breakdown,to herald the return of bk to basics... take these into consideration ... and you’ll save yaself pulpatations and unnecessary greif!!!

Thats the first post where i have understood exactly what you mean

Recent ECM ensembles say a bit fat "no" to easterlies in mid Feb - very SWly at 550mb level on the latest clusters:

To be fair though these ensembles were showing a good chance of easterlies since the beginning of Jan and its only now its coming to fruition over a month later. These can flip as much as the op runs imo.

Saddest thing for me is, I went for my Sunday morning run as usual. When I got home my 2 daughters (5 and 3) were waiting by the back door in their hat, gloves and coat full of excitement. My youngest has never seen snow on the ground.
My wife had got various messages from friends in London full of videos of heavy snow and assumed it was about to start here given we are only 15 miles further East.

To see the excitement fade away as the small amount of snow at the start quickly faded to sleet and then rain. Ouch

Thats awful if i could swap places i would! Im pretty confident they will get their snow day before the winter is out!
