Lightning and thunder just beginning again! Just to the east of here this time.

Thunder and lightning seem to have stopped abruptly and looks to be dieing off on radar! Good while it lasted

Loads of rumbles. Just been on the phone to friends and family in Kilmarnock and it sounds really strong there, looks strong from a look at the radar!!

Yep, torrential rain here now here. I think I heard thunder just before it started but not 100% sure!

A slightly damp day with over 30mm of rain so far.... The heavy rain is just moving away now though

Seems to be dieing down a bit now with a cool breeze , haven't seen any lightning for 5 or 10 mins. Stuff to the south is a bit of a mess but the band is slowly moving north east so I guess a let's see what happens! @Stormeh must be under the other one at Ardrossan at the moment.

Looks awesome from here so must be amazing at the beach! Its getting brighter here with frequent flashes, I've been told off for considering the beach Edit: thunder now too

I can see the same from here, looks like South West so probably the developing cells towards arran. Could be some high level stuff from the main band I guess tho! Seething should be with @Mr Frost soon I reckon.

Yep I'm keeping an eye on that too, fits in with the timings of something arriving in the early hours.

A heavy shower has formed over Glasgow, looks like its from the base that was building as it passed over here... Pic is another tower heading towards Glasgow.

Some pretty dark bases overhead and this is towering up just to my west....

31c here now...the Glasgow temperature will be reported much lower as Glasgow AP is a bit cooler. At least somewhere official has reached 30c

Cloud building across the south-west now as can be seen on the satellite loop so the temps probably won't get much higher. You can see the storms to the North-West too! Yep, it's up to 29.8c now on that traffic scotland station, although not official it'll still be a decent weather station I would imagine. It's also up to 29.4c on the M77 near Newton Mearns (my closest station) and rising faster since the breeze has died down.

Some showers breaking out soon maybe? Lots of lightning going to waste out at sea currently!

29.5c on the A77 at Ayr according to traffic Scotland, surely Prestwick is heading for 30/31c!

Quite pleasent sitting outside working here, 26/27c but with a nice breeze. I've been watching the cumulus starting to become more widespread and grow a little higher, let's hope that's a good sign for later.... Edit: it's 28c, need to get a new weather station!
