  1. Yeah saw that earlier on the netweather model, pretty widespread heavy showers with decent Cape and Li. Fingers crossed! An amazing spring overall but we've not had any downpours so that would be nice to end this hot spell. Another cracking day here into the low to mid twenties. I can't remember the last spell we had like this where the paddling pool had been out for so long and the water was actually warm
  2. Meto text forecast for Strathclyde below, crazy! A max of 19c and then hill snow Saturday: Bright spells will develop through morning and becoming warm in sunny spells. Isolated showers possible during the afternoon. Heavier rain will arrive in the evening, turning to snow on hills. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
  3. First rain that we've had in ages falling here now with some hail mixed in, absolutely stinks of petrichor outside
  4. 20c in Glasgow now and another beautiful day
  5. Lightning on that storm near Girvan. I'm out in the garden and could swear I just heard a rumble of thunder here so not sure if something else popped up or I'm hearing things !
  6. Heavy snow continuing here although thunder and lightning stopping. Frustrating though , I took a video out the window, one of 2 windows I could've easily videod from - picked the wrong one as a massive CG landed just outside of shot got the bright flash with thunder though!
  7. Heavy hail has switched over to heavy snow here and everything white
  8. Sleet here too. Some pretty big splodges coming down now.
  9. Down to 2.5c now and starting to settle. Doesn't look like there will be much more to come from this front but hopefully another chance with the next front...
  10. Back to rain and sleet here (and colder!) but nice to see anyway. Edit: snowing again heavily at 3c
  11. The band of precip moving in is snow here and it's... 4.6c !!! Dew points must be low but it seems crazy when we've had so much rain and sleet at 0/1c recently
  12. Wet snow here now. The higher parts of the M77 which aren't in the warning area are beginning to turn white again...
  13. I'm not expecting any snow but the rain has just turned to sleet here with temperature starting to fall. 3c at the moment.
  14. Snow all the way to the coast from that, this is near Ardrossan. @Mr Frost must be in with a shout from the next shower coming in!
  15. Ooft the M77 has disappeared! Looks like it's snowing at home but I'm not there typically... Tonight looks like the best chance of the winter so far for a depth of more than 1cm.
  16. Snowing properly here now as the area of heavier precip moves in. That has been one of the problems as we've only received 3mm of sleet from the entire front, if it had been rain I'm sure that would not have been the case...!
  17. Yeah I was meant to be travelling down there this morning but decided against it last night.
  18. Well this hasn't quite worked out to plan areas of Northern England have ended up with more snow than the highest section of the m74. County Durham for example looks like its had a decent fall to low levels. 19. Yeah looking decent at the moment, meto forecasts mentioning it "may" be rain for the lowest areas of the central belt and it "might" turn back to rain... I'm optimistic but as ever we won't know until the morning. I suspect the meto are poised ready with the orange crayon if snow does start to fall in the busy commuting areas. We've all been here before though so the snow shovel is still in the garage
  20. The precipitation is much more organised than I expected for the central belt South at the moment based on forecasts I've seen, although I haven't look at the charts....could help to lower the freezing level. Lots of accidents reported on the M77 this evening due to the heavy hailstorms and snow.
  21. @CatchMyDrift's pheasant strikes again!
  22. Hailstorm with pea size hail and now heavy wet snow falling
  23. Snaw warning out for Monday for most of the country
