  1. Hailstorm with pea size hail and now heavy wet snow falling
  2. Snaw warning out for Monday for most of the country
  3. 71mm of rain there over the last 36 hours according to SEPA. We've had about 36mm in the last 24hrs and around 50mm over the last 36 hours. All made worse by the recent wet weather!
  4. The latest Met Office text forecast for Strathclyde mentions the possibility of snow down to low levels tomorrow night. Third Monday in a row?
  5. I'm not sure this statement helps the situation
  6. Drove down the M74 early this morning, couple of hefty hail and sleet showers which covered the road then i got kicked off at J11 for the earlier serious accident. Loads of cars/lorries stuck on the motorway while the accident is investigated and looks like they may still be there as the roads still closed. Side roads were dodgey with about an inch of snow lying on the roads, couple more inches on the verges but fine with care. I'll miss the snow down here but enjoy whoever gets it today!
  7. The colder upper air looks like being back in place by about 3am (-5c) with it getting colder and down to about - 8c by 9am lasting through to lunchtime on Wednesday from what I remember. Small gap of mild tonight and then hopefully back to more snaw!
  8. Yeah looks as if its just turned to sleet /wet snow here as that more organised band moves in. Hopefuly it changes back to snow but it was expected to get a little warmer overnight.
  9. Not a good night to be missing or searching for missing people on Ben Nevis Three missing in 'horrendous weather' on Ben Nevis WWW.BBC.CO.UK Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team finds one of four people in difficulty near the summit.
  10. That's the snaw back on here after a lull, the radar looks really good if these can remain as snow!
  11. Woah, just looked out the window and a CG came down just in front of me with instant thunder. It appears to have knocked out my security camera as I just tried to connect to it to get the footage and it's not working!
  12. Good pic, that's beginning to rumble away here now
  13. This might work... (no sound) 20200210140045838.mp4
  14. Boom, bright flash of lightning and loud boom of thunder during this hail storm. Roads and everything are white again!
  15. It should be, although it is still melting. The next heavy snow shower is inbound and then there looks like a gap for a bit from the look of the radar.
  16. Dumping down, this is the scene already.
  17. Heavy snow back on here, apparently there was lightning but I was looking the other way... Each shower is now all snow instead of hail then snow mix and provides a slushy covering before melting. Massive snow flakes coming down now, shame it'll melt before the next shower.
  18. They'll drop very slightly this afternoon, before increasing again overnight and falling down to -8c tomorrow and into Wednesday (GFS 06Z) so I'd say the best bet is tomorrow evening and into Wednesday morning. The latest run also gives us a bit of a repeat on Sunday so very good news for the ski areas!
  19. The grass is pretty long so it'll take a lot to cover it!
  20. All white here again after the earlier slush melted, suspect that will be the theme of the day. Gutters are currently overflowing with hail
  21. Some lightning showing up on ATD in the next band of showers beginning to move into the Glasgow area...
  22. Snowing here too, started with hail so we have a dusting of hail with snow falling now
