  1. Popped to local co-op, I was the only customer in there, only one check out lady made it in so far lol, but the shelves nicely stocked, so all good. Unfortunately for the more elderly residents in this village they don’t stand much chance of getting out, it’s very slippy with the snow lying in already frozen snow from yesterday. Have fun at the job centre (always a joy I’m sure)
  2. Yeah roads here are thick with snow, nobody’s going anywhere, yet we have a gritting depot 100 yards up the road, don’t think they can get anywhere either
  3. Where there was barely a breath of wind early this morning, it’s now definitely starting to pick up, snow blowing around more as it falls.
  4. Completely snowed in here at halesworth, not a car is moving. Dogs loved it, took ages to get all the balls of snow off their legs and bellies, gotta be at least 6” deep and drifts even higher, snow still, coming down. Least my sons school in Lowestoft is closed today, couldn’t get there even if I wanted to.
  5. And yet just down the road here, 3 minute blizzard covered everything that had melted today looking at radar, beccles about to get some now.
  6. Well we got between 2-3” overnight here in Halesworth, roads slow but passable on my 34 mile round trip school run to Lowestoft this morning, better on the return journey due to the sun thawing some of the snow. @Lowestoft Weather Lovely rough Collie you have there, I have a blue Merle rough, who returned home from our walk at 6.30 this morning with many snow balls stuck to his fluffy feet
  7. Well in sunny Halesworth, we started with flurries, then sun, couple more flurries floating about and we’ve just had 15 minutes of medium sized heavyish snow, settled on my artificial grass but not pavements. I don’t want anymore, iv enjoyed the nice dry cold sunny weather and would rather that than slippy icy wet stodgy yuk. Maybe it’s an age thing but I prefer not to slip and break a hip or slide around on untreated country lanes in the car. But for those that want a whiteout, I hope you get it, just leave halesworth dry pretty please edit, yep I sound like my mother, it’s depressing
  8. Been a dry few days here, no frost overnight and managed to sort the front garden, cut the grass and weed! Lovely day here, not sunny but the wind is starting to pick up now, roll on spring
  9. So the few cms of snow that fell has all gone now. Absolutely bucketing it down now will hail thrown in for good measure feels colder today than yesterday.
  10. My road is all white, as are the cars and the garden and it’s still coming down, but it’s gonna freeze tonight, so a slippy walk and drive tomorrow, not so good
  11. Half hour of good sized decent heavyish snow just passed through halesworth looks to be more headed this way looking at the radar
  12. Snowing in halesworth....finally, it’s taken a few hours to get here though.
  13. Snow showers coming back down the A12 from Wrentham onwards on my journey back from Lowestoft, even settling a little on the road, distinct tyre tracks forming. Hasn’t quite made it to Halesworth yet. So the blob is indeed moving this way.
  14. So that large blob showing on the radar over north Norfolk is that coming southwards towards us (Lowestoft, Ipswich way is what I mean by us)? Wasn’t expecting anything til later on tonight!
  15. 20minutes of heavy snow at half 6 this morning, two yeti dogs, several near miss slips and now the roads are icy ready for the commute, great, already accident just up the road apparently. Yay for snow
  16. There is a distinct wind chill now compared to this morning when it wasn’t feeling that cold. Apart from our 30 second snow this morning and some light drizzle nothing has fallen from the sky. But it’s cold and more importantly it’s dry out now and that will do for me, if we could get some sunshine tomorrow I’m happy. Good luck to the snow hunters, but I’m more than happy to not get any now. I want spring to hurry up, lots of garden work to get on with.
  17. Not made it to this corner of the triangle, but the clouds thicker, brightness decreasing and its definitely feeling colder this afternoon than earlier on. If it’s gonna do anything it will be in an hour when I walk dogs again, most likely sticky drizzle
  18. Not too bad a day here so far, doesn’t feel particularly cold, fairly bright with sun trying to come through, hoping we don’t get that drizzly yuk come any further east.
  19. A rain sleet mix on a freezing cold windy walk this morning, could see the random sleet bits in my torch light, woooo hoooo.... blah
  20. No snow, don’t want any thanks Last time I said this back in December, we in the triangle got a good covering, albeit not long lasting. So I don’t want any, nope not a flake! this means we will get loads, the trianglers can thank me later
  21. Oh I know I’m still in the triangle, no escaping that but with southwold getting all those lovely thunder storms last summer that never reached Lowie, I figured moving closer to it would be my best bet for some ‘action’. You watch you all get them this summer while I watch the radar with envy
