    Make it stop, torrential rain/hail, looks like it’s been snowing in my garden, rivers of water running down the road. Could at least thrown in some lightening if we have to put up with this

    Yeah sun shine for two minutes here then the hail started, think, looking at the radar you should miss it, slightly south of beccles

    Heavy hail shower in halesworth, white grass. Everywhere is already flooded round here, fields waterlogged after all the rain, had enough of this rain. Gonna need a canoe if we get the rain forecast for tomorrow

    Quite a bit of flooding around here, driving home this morning I looked across some fields and thought, oh I didn’t realise there was a lake in Blyford, then realised there isn’t, the fields completely submerged in water might take some time to return to normal. And if anyone in Lowestoft is going to Morrison’s for milk, don’t bother, they don’t have a single pint.. madness

    The thaw has finally started here, the sun is making an appearance, I can actually see grass peeking through the snow

    Not even a hint of the sun, who stole our sun? Still tons of snow here, my road is still bad, mind you we don’t get much traffic to clear it. Was hoping for a rapid thaw, but doesn’t look like here we are gonna get it. Hope the rain tomorrow is warm enough to melt the snow, or ice is going to be even worse than it is now

    Another couple of inches here overnight, my snow clearing effort was for nowt time to start over again. Here’s hoping that rain the Beeb are forecasting for tomorrow melts it all and we can get back to normal (sorry I know some don’t want it to go, but I’ve had my fill of it) temps allegedly up to 9c with sun Monday

    My dad lives in Bude, Cornwall, just texted me to say it’s just started snowing. I think he’s in for a whole heap of the white stuff. Not sure it’s gonna make it this Far East, but frankly, I’m looking forward to it all going now, it’s just solid ice now and that’s no fun.

    I imagine a lot of it is due to teachers not living close to the school and unable to get there. Same as some pupils are unable to get there. For instance, I live 16 miles away from my sons school, roads have been impassable from here to the school by car and it’s a tad of a walk for us I don’t remember schools closing either when I was a kid, but I guess with public transport and more people owing cars, people live further from the school they work at/attend, which is all fine, until weather like this when public transport goes belly up and cars are as much use as a chocolate teapot

    @JennyJane1 I think most of the older residents round here are staying in thankfully, it’s a shame the paths aren’t cleared for them, but then most of the roads aren’t either. Have you thought about cutting up the chicken n ham into portions and freezing it for the bird? Will last longer as only take out enough from freezer for each meal. Like I used to for kids when they were babies, ice cube trays are great for that.

    I’d say if you don’t have to go out, then don’t. Pavements are like skating rinks here now, worse where some snow did start to melt yesterday and refroze. Nearly went over a couple of times walking dogs this morning, unfortunately I have one dog that will not do his do in the garden, never has, so has to be walked to relieve himself, or else I’d stay in too. And apparently, national grid has announced it’s running out of Gas! Any excuse to hike the prices up again

    Might reach us then, keep watching the radar which shows light snow here most of the last hour, but nothing falling yet.

    Mines a 32 mile round trip, so very glad it’s closed, A12 drifted snow in places on my route, so wouldn’t bother even if they said it was open

    Very windy this morning, those gusts are not pleasant. So is the radar not quite right then? Because it looks like snow coming up from the south west!? I was going to attempt to clear the paths around my bungalow but if there’s more coming, I’m staying warm inside and not wasting my time. At least schools had sense to stay closed today, roads are treacherous still even though no snow has come down since early evening yesterday but snow drifts blocking even the main roads.

    After a couple of hours respite, there seems to be more incoming. And the bin men didn’t make it down my road today, mind you neither did many cars

    It just keeps on coming. Now if this was rain, Sir Blues nose wouldn’t even poke out the door, however, blizzards, he says, bring it on, stupid dogs.

    Can’t tell anymore what is falling from the sky from what is being whipped up by the winds, up from the ground, down from rooftops and off the trees, it’s mayhem

    Look like mine every time they go outside and each time track half a ton of snow back in on their feet

    Just about to venture into garden to brush the snow off my evergreen plants as they are sagging under the weight of it all by the time I’d found the brush, another blizzard has started up again, really blowing around in the wind now.

    It is indeed sunny now, but cloudy out to my east! edit, nope snowing again edit, sun again....give it another minute and .....

    Sky is really dark now, heavy snow......again. Is this gonna end today or just keep on coming?

    Same Same here, doesn’t look to be ending anytime soon.
