Yamkin i like your report. Thanks for the video.
If this snow could stay until a few hours after nightfall it would be great- we could have a nice covering again
-
Snow starting to settle now. Wow just wow
-
Snowing is getting a bit heavier. I thought we were done here.
Ninja snow is the best!! I must go for a walk soon!

Hats off to hirlam which picked up on this yesterday. the model again seems to be a little enthusiastic re this evening but you can’t dismiss what hasn’t happened yet!!,
Why? is it showing more widespread snow for this evening??

Some tiny bits of snow in the wind. I salute you for not giving up just yet. Sublimation, we can never be friends. You are taking all the snow even with all the cloud cover.
-
Well not really that heavy in fact, but it's sticking readily. A nice dusting. Could be a few cms by 9 am if it continues till then.
-
Snow is heavier now!!!!!! Time to pop outside for a bit!

We’re a mad bunch staying up late to watch how frozen water falls out the sky!
Hehe I guess. It's just we know that it could be years before we see snow again in our region. It's mad to think we are having this so late in March.

Snow is sticking goodo now. I suppose it does not matter which direction it's coming from, just great to see it sticking!!
I will be pulling an all nighter!
-
A slight dusting here now.
I, like many, saw more snow last time. I can't really complain if that, as it looks likely is my lot,, to get any snow, let alone powdery snow, at this of time of year is incredible.

settling snow now this is going to be a great evening and night id say for the whole of the region north london aswell
How is it settling there, and not here

Moderate snow for the last two hours but none of it sticking. I'm 250 foot above sea level,so it's a bit disappointing.
-
We had two hours of moderate to sometimes heavy snow this morning, but
the ground temperatures, allied with the time of years, has ruined things here so far, if this was happening a month ago every flake would stick. Still hopefully the ground will cool sufficetly during the day to allow the snow to accumulate later on when the streamers get going

The latest Hirlam looks fairly good for our region.

Not bad, can’t believe it’s 10 years since I first met you out in the U.S. chasing storms with Michael Fish!
Also can’t believe we going to experience another cold snap that tops anything upper temperature wise experienced in many winters we experienced from the late 90s through much of the naughties before 2009. Doesn’t feel right in mid-March and there’s no guarantee that we won’t see more cold snaps as we head through Easter. Oh well, we will see the back of winter some time in the next few months
I would not be in a rush to see the back of it - we could be waiting years and years before we see another easterly after the cold comes to an end in this current pattern. That's why i'll never understand people telling the snow to go way. Thank God their locks failed, and the beast has got back in the door .Finally, one last thing needs to be said; welcome son of the beast to London, now do your worst!

I must do a beer run tomorrow morning. . Lassie, I just want to say thank you for spending 4 hours cleaning your bucket this time- it looks like it has worked!!

I just woke up from a great dream!- I dreamt London was going to get a second easterly in a matter of weeks this weekend.
I cant wait to walk in the snow on Saturday evening after Ireland have won the Grand Slam. Well, i think England will beat Ireland , but i'll still be happy in the snow
-
Two days of snowy weather, followed by dry and cold weather, then the possibility of beast 3 in fi, yes, please

Felt great in the warm spring sunshine earlier. I love snow as much as the next person, but I’m really looking forward to some spring warmth now.
Unless we get another cold spell with snowfall that settles, I’d rather we be done with winter cold and move towards summer.
The last thing I want is a half hearted cold spell with cold rain or a transient slush fest. Yes, late March can still deliver but it needs to be even more special than what we had a couple of weeks ago.
That's next to impossible. The cold we saw a couple of week ago was a one off. We'd be lucky to see cold like that in the depths of winter. So any cold outbreak to come, will not be nearly as good. That said if were to get -10 uppers it would be good enough to ensure snowfall
-
It would be just brilliant if we could get a streamer event like the one 10 days ago! I am getting excited for the child of the beast. It could be an epic weekend for a few reasons next weekend
To be honest I would take Ireland losing to England next weekend if we got a beasterly instead. Lassie clean your bucket for two hours again. I'm convinced it did the trick last time.

I’ll take cold and snow everyday of the week. I’m pretty sure we’ll get a cold shot around the 16th but nothing like we’ve just had. Hope I’m wrong and the frogs can look after themselves ?
Yeah i doubt it would be as severe, but do you think we will see snow out of it?
