  1. Bust for here today. For some reason, everything seemed to die as it approached, only to intensify again to the south. Not even had one drop of rain.
  2. Next week could be very different, with the talk of heat replaced with the risk of flooding in places. It amazes me how we can go from one extreme to the other in such a short space of time in this country.
  3. Absolutely. Could do with it cooling down a bit too. The humidity is ridiculous and awful for trying to sleep at night.
  4. One rumble of thunder and the heavens opened! Absolutely torrential rain!
  5. Travelling south on the train from Leeds to London this evening, there’s a huge difference in weather conditions as you travel further South. From Leeds to around Newark, it was pretty much blue skies all the way. Heading South from Grantham it has clouded over significantly, so I can see why there is such controversy as to why people are disagreeing with each other, from a IMBY perspective.
  6. What happened to a dry day? BBC Weather forecasted no showers for the Midlands, yet it’s raining now with more showers incoming.
  7. It’s ironic that we sweat through plumes which often deliver nothing, but have days which are much more comfortable, such as today, and it delivers a whole load of action out of nothing!
  8. @AldercThat’s quite a lot of rain forecast for Central areas. Going through the charts, it almost looks like a stationary front, with increasing intensity through Saturday and Sunday. Caused by that nearby green blob I assume?
  9. 18:30 with it being full cloud cover and dull conditions. Genuinely looks and feels like winter, albeit slightly warmer.
  10. I think we need to look closer to home rather than constantly looking over the other side of the channel. It’s alright if you live in Kent (which may as well be part of France) but for the majority of the country, I think it’ll just be a dull and wet day.
  11. I assume it’s this stuff which may be of interest for those further north and west?
  12. Pretty much right over Leicester, that orange blob. Typical as I have to head out around that time too ️
  13. It’s not like a storm is going to produce anywhere near the deluge of rain we’ve had over the past month or so, is it? Also, not everywhere will get hit with a storm.
  14. Feels ripe for thundery showers today. Skies are a lot clearer as well as it feeling a lot warmer compared to recent days.
