  1. Sounds right for my area, there's been a lot of rain but more of the thundery showers and sunshine in between type so not too bad.
  2. Just had a torrential shower, flash of lightning and a couple of loud rumbles! Road is a river!
  3. That is shoreham port where the river adur enters the channel. I think a lot of that is mud run off from the downs.
  4. I'm with nick, that drone footage looks nothing like ef3 damage, perhaps ef1 at most.
  5. I use my phone and have had no issues with speed.
  6. Front has passed through here, sunny spells after but some torrential blustery showers rattling through now, 13c.
  7. Or as painful as trying to find a strand of hay in a needlestack!
  8. I meant these flabby lows going north of Scotland can create stronger winds down here, compared to what we got today. Sorry I didn't word it properly.
  9. What I can't wrap my head around is that looking at the synoptics we had a very intensely deep area of low pressure around 955mb pass just to the north of here producing around 40 odd mph gusts, yet flabby 990mb lows passing to the north of Scotland can produce much stronger winds? Weather is truly mysterious and fascinating!
  10. I know I'm on my own here, but I'm quietly enjoying it!
  11. Wind is insane here. Can here loud crashes outside
  12. Storm eunice isn't a good example to prove your point as that had a ruturn period of 20-30 years.
  13. It's going to be rough here Thursday morning but I'm also a little excited to be honest, I expect schools and all that will close if things stay as they are or worsen. A lot of trees are going to fall considering most of them are still in full leaf.
  14. Lick your finger and stick it up in the air
  15. I'm buzzing for this storm on Thursday, finally something interesting happening, i don't want no deaths or injuries or anything like that, just something other than the usual!
  16. Non stop downpours all night and still ongoing, areas nearby starting to flood. Typical coastal mid-late autumn conditions.
  17. Just had a very heavy shower off the channel and could be more incoming, nothing like spring but very much like autumn!
  18. I am loving these rainy evenings/nights and bright and sunny mornings/days, makes it feel very seasonal!
  19. You're right, sea is still way too warm for a proper frost here.
